  • Great accommodations for 6 guys who spent a week at the Brier.

"House was well appointed, clean, reasonably priced, and came with all the amenities (eg. foil wrap, dish detergent, towels, free long distance calling within Canada, etc.) that we needed. The owner was quick in responding to emails and ensuring all was in order for our visit. We were a 10 minute cab ride from downtown St. John's which amounted to $15 with a substantial tip. We highly recommend this house."

"Our unit at 280 Duckworth was in a perfect location, close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. The unit was immaculately clean and well cared for; when I asked about a hair dryer and a can opener, they were immediately supplied. The apartment is well laid out and is just as it looks in the photos. There is an excellent restaurant just next door and the area is extremely blessed for choices in eating out. Oliver's and The Merchant Tavern on Water Street were two of our particular favourites but there were many more. Proximity to Quidi Vidi Village, Signal Hill, and Cape Spear Lighthouse was another bonus. The location is in a historic area of the downtown with a number of extremely interesting old buildings and lovely parks close by. Nick was very personable and quick to answer any questions we had. Cannot recommend this highly enough. We loved it and you will, too!"

  • Great place!

"This property was exactly as shown - very clean, all the amenities you could need and very lovely. The owners were helpful and friendly. We will probably never stay in a hotel again when we come into St. John's as this condo was nicer and more convenient than any hotel in the city! We're already booked for another stay! Thanks Ana and Derek"

  • Great spacious spot, friendly and helpful host.

"The house was more spacious than we had expected, perfect for myself, my baby, my sister and parents. The three bedrooms were great. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen, all appliances great quality and in good working order. It was nice to have the deck out back. Wifi was handy (although a bit slow but with multiple people using it at once that may be expected if one was trying to videochat or stream). Comfy beds (my dad noted one was in need of wheel locks, so careful when plopping down up there). There is a smaller bedroom in between two big ones that is cozy and has no windows (great for sleeping in) and could use some hooks to hang clothes or a towel on. Bathroom was great with a nice shower head, good water pressure and easy temperature control. For those with mobility issues, I note that all three bedrooms are located upstairs (which are a tad narrow as it is a nice older house). It was easy to find and very handy to downtown (we had a vehicle, might be a bit of a hike on foot or tricky navigating if you are unfamiliar with St. John's) There are a couple stores within short walking distance for anything you may need. VIctor is just next door and is attentive and helpful should anything arise. Great spot, great value! This was my parents' first vrbo/air bnb rental and based on this positive experience, they are definitely keen to go this route over a hotel next time they travel."
