  • Cape Breton Idyll

"My wife and I, my sister and her husband, along with our black lab vacationed here in mid-September. The home is as beautiful as pictured, comfortably furnished and fully stocked with all the basic necessities. We were able to immediately unwind after our long drive from the States. The property is private and serene yet well-situated for our week of hiking, biking and beach combing. The owner and property manager are the most responsive we have interacted with in our years of VRBO rentals. Would rent this home again in a heartbeat."

  • Amazing !

"This was one of our favourite stops on our recent east coast trip. We had a wedding to attend in St Anns which is about a 5 minute drive down the road and we called this place home for 3 nights . Beautiful views, a great walking trail down to the water for the dog and super comfortable beds. Would stay here again in an instant. Thanks!"

  • Wonderful view

"A peaceful place with a wonderful view, I would have been happy to live on the deck with my book the whole time, if the weather had permitted. Beds are comfortable. We are both readers, and wish there were reading lights both in the living room and the bedrooms, both are lacking, I would suggest you bring a book light of your own. Being there in Sept, it was a drive to restaurants, kitchen good for cooking your own, as suggested stop at larger centres to get most of your groceries before coming that far north, the only fresh fish available was mackerel. There was a problem with mice in the kitchen, which we contacted the owner about, he assured us that he is on top of the issue, and it will be dealt with."

  • Cape Briton island at its finest!!

"The Mighty Blue is perfectly situated just a step off the Cabot Trail. Neil's Harbour is a quaint little place filled with freindly people and outstanding views. We loved the fact that it was not touristy and an actual working fishing village. We spent some time down at the fish plant talking to 2 gentlemen that were full of advice. We bought fresh live lobster and crab right from the factory. The beach in town had a treasure of sea glass and my children loved playing in the waves. The cabin itself has a gorgeous view of the ocean and is in walking distance to all that you would need in town. It's a great location if you plan on hiking a lot of the trails through out the national park. The cabin itself was perfect for our family of 5. It had everything we needed and a couple of extra things we wanted (a lobster pot and fishing rods) Kathy provided. Kathy herself was great, full of answers and recommendations. If you want to feel like more than just a tourist this is the place to come."
