  • Beautiful house by the water

"Beautiful house recently renovated. I like the beach design. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the nice view of the water. There is a fireplace in one of the living rooms. Kitchen is fully equipped. However, if you like to cook, you will need to buy some basics such as codiments, olive oil, ... There is a beach less than 1 km from the house and it is quiet. The master bedroom upstairs faces the water; so there is a nice view of the water and there is a lot of sun. It was easy to contact the owner and he informed me about a new restaurant a few minutes from the house. We went to that restaurant and really enjoyed the place and the menu. The house is on a route; therefore, there is some cars passing by. We spent 3 days at the house and really enjoyed it."

  • We Love this Place

"This was our second New Years at this property. Eight of us this year. Two nights. We love this place. It's well-stocked, spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. It's perfect. One bedroom on the main floor, three upstairs, one bathroom downstairs, two upstairs, large living room with plenty of seating, large dining area and generous kitchen. Dealing with the owners was a pleasure. We will be back."

  • Wonderful stay!

"We loved the cottage! It was welcoming and cozy! It was clean and well equipped; we found everything we needed. We spent a lot of our time on the spacious deck which has a great view of the fishing wharf. We used the barbecue and when the gaz ran out it was nice to find a full tank in the shed. The cottage is a five-minute walk to a nice little beach and there are two beautiful white sand beaches within a fifteen-minute drive. A restaurant close to the cottage has a great seafood chowder. We would love to come again!"

  • Seeking and finding the unique

"We are a middle-aged professional couple who seek the unique when we travel. Our sojourn at Bridge House rates high on our all-time list. This is an architectural jewel in a stunning natural setting, a memorable place where the seals provide the bass line to a coyotes' chorus. We spent our days exploring Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and dozens of picturesque communities, discovering the Western Shore's bakers, butchers, produce markets, coffee roasters -- and taking it back to the modern, well-equipped kitchen to cook up a storm. We entertained old friends we hadn't seen in years and found ourselves recalibrating our pace to the easygoing rural Nova Scotian rhythm around us. Thank you, thank you for providing us this time."
