  • One of a kind..

"This is the most fantastic "lodge". I fully expected a guide to knock on the door and say he was there to take me moose hunting. This place is a real gem. You won't find many like this anymore. It is huge, finished with the most amazing wood work, the hand made doors alone are something to see. There must be thirty or more hand hooked rugs that are a treasure. I think made by the housekeepers grandmother. After I arrived I realized what a peaceful wonderful place this was and basically just sat and relaxed. I read two books (there are tons and many are books that I have had and read), 350 videos, records, tapes, you name it. I was to go to town to do some things with friends and instead just sat and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The kitchen is the best outfitted kitchen I've ever seen. Most places you are lucky if there is salt and pepper. There must be twenty spices for you to use, dishes galore, and a wonderful vintage kitchen table. You are close to Annapolis Royal, but be forewarned...you must just want to enjoy your "escape" and stay on the lovely property."

  • Spectacular House & Property

"Perfect in every way: proximity to National Park attractions, unobstructed views of Cape Smokey & the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Total seclusion, yet right on the Cabot Trail with amenities handy. Singing Pebbles made me feel I was living a dream; cooking was a pleasure in the fantastically equipped & high end chef's kitchen with the million dollar view. It was an ideal setting to explore the Highlands Park western end. The only downside was that we had to vacate after our week flew by. I would definitely say that staying in such an exquisite house enhanced the natural wonders of this unique part of Cape Breton. Thank you Jitka for the care & imagination you & Gilbert invested in this special dwelling."

  • Best part of our trip!!

"We had the great pleasure of staying three nights in Neil's harbour in July 2016 at Jackie and Greg's place. The house was immaculate and Jackie and Greg were such gracious hosts, representing the amazing people from the east coast. Being able to go on the boat and seeing first hand the skill and grace of lobster fishing, and giving a great tour on the boat were highlights of our entire two week trip. I would recommend this gem to anyone blessed enough to visit the Cabot trail!! Thank you for everyone Jackie and Greg!"

  • A getaway from it all

"I thought places like this only existed in books. A picturesque cabin surrounded by wild seashore on one side and a quaint ex-fishing village on the other? Too good to be true! It is very true though, and Morry's done a great job maintaining the place. My wife and I adored our time there, and we're already missing grilling lobster by the seashore and being lulled to sleep by the crashing waves. Do yourself a favor and stay here for a week, you won't regret it!"
