  • Elegant Condo - well-named !

"We loved Pauline Elizabeth's beautiful apartment, overlooking Halifax Common and the Citadel. It was spacious, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and we loved the views and the sense of green open spaces in the midst of a small city. It's perfectly situated for exploring Halifax which is so easy to get around. You could even walk downtown and back if you wanted and didn't mind climbing a hill or two. Shops are not far away and really we had everything we needed. We appreciated that some bits and pieces of food were in the cupboards when we arrived, salt, sugar etc, so we could make a cup of tea, and we just loved the colourful Harvest Wreath on the front door welcoming us to Halifax and Elegant Condo. We also slept like logs every night in the ever-so-comfortable beds Thank you Pauline for all the wee touches which we truly appreciated and for responding so readily to our queries both before we travelled and when we got there. We'd happily ask to use your condo again and we'd recommend it to anyone who would like to get to know Halifax and Nova Scotia. We're completely hooked now on NS and will be back to explore more. • The Perfect Holiday

"Our holiday in Nova Scotia left us with one overriding feeling -- that we want to return next year. The house was in a spectacular location overlooking the Bay of Fundy, giving us wonderful views and the most amazing sunsets. The house was a home from home, with all sorts of expected and unexpected comforts and pleasures. Our host, Marion was incredibly welcoming, and a fount of knowledge on the local area. The area itself"

  • One of a kind..

"This is the most fantastic "lodge". I fully expected a guide to knock on the door and say he was there to take me moose hunting. This place is a real gem. You won't find many like this anymore. It is huge, finished with the most amazing wood work, the hand made doors alone are something to see. There must be thirty or more hand hooked rugs that are a treasure. I think made by the housekeepers grandmother. After I arrived I realized what a peaceful wonderful place this was and basically just sat and relaxed. I read two books (there are tons and many are books that I have had and read), 350 videos, records, tapes, you name it. I was to go to town to do some things with friends and instead just sat and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The kitchen is the best outfitted kitchen I've ever seen. Most places you are lucky if there is salt and pepper. There must be twenty spices for you to use, dishes galore, and a wonderful vintage kitchen table. You are close to Annapolis Royal, but be must just want to enjoy your "escape" and stay on the lovely property."
