  • Quiet, Lovely, and felt like I arrived in a Pinterest Photo!

"At first glance I fell in love with this cottage. Its faces the ocean and you can watch the sunset right from the upper bedroom bed. Each room is lovingly decorated in beachy cottage theme. It's immaculately clean and well taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place for my 13 year old daughter and I to reconnect and turn off all electronics. We also brought our little chihuahua, bubbles. She loved sitting outside on the front porch which was gated at both ends to keep her safe. There is no internet, which I welcomed. If we needed to keep in contact we just drove to town, a few minutes away. I loved all the windows in this cottage. At night I would open and let all the fresh air inside. I could also listen to the ocean to fall asleep at night. So nice. There is a well known seafood market just down the road which sells live lobsters, and there is a huge pot (with directions) to cook them in at the cottage. The kitchen has everything you would need to make yourself at home. Actually, this cottage has everything you need, from extra blankets and towels to laundry detergent and extra shampoo if you forgot yours. The sunroom is where we spent most of our time staring outside at the ocean each morning and night. Peggy and Rex (the owners) live just down the road. They great wealth of information about the area and are lovely people. Annapolis Royal is a quaint quiet town, but has lots to see and the history is amazing. We took the graveyard tour and thought it was really fun and information. There is a market in town every week that showcases local vendors. There is also a cute gift store in town at the very end....not to miss. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a quiet holiday. I say quiet because it feels like a peaceful retreat. In today's world sometimes you just need to find a place like this to relax and unwind. There are also trails in the backyard you can go on. This would be a PERFECT honeymoon cottage. Long walks on the beach in front were an everyday occasion for us, even when the weather was rainy. My daughter and I found lots to do in the area. We shopped at Frenchy's. If you don't know what that is, then look it up and plan an afternoon to go."

  • Big Historic House in a great location

"We really enjoyed our stay in Chester. The House is large and great for large groups. Easily walkable to the harbour and we found it to be a great central location for our sight seeing. The house has some 1860s charm, but is a bit ruff around the edges (peeling wall paper, and screens/windows that need replacing, trees that overhang the front entry), but we were really pleased overall. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay. One inconvenience, email response from the owner was a bit slow at times when communication prior to booking."

  • Cape Briton island at its finest!!

"The Mighty Blue is perfectly situated just a step off the Cabot Trail. Neil's Harbour is a quaint little place filled with freindly people and outstanding views. We loved the fact that it was not touristy and an actual working fishing village. We spent some time down at the fish plant talking to 2 gentlemen that were full of advice. We bought fresh live lobster and crab right from the factory. The beach in town had a treasure of sea glass and my children loved playing in the waves. The cabin itself has a gorgeous view of the ocean and is in walking distance to all that you would need in town. It's a great location if you plan on hiking a lot of the trails through out the national park. The cabin itself was perfect for our family of 5. It had everything we needed and a couple of extra things we wanted (a lobster pot and fishing rods) Kathy provided. Kathy herself was great, full of answers and recommendations. If you want to feel like more than just a tourist this is the place to come."

  • Our 3 night stay at Sunset Piper

"Myself and 7 girlfriends spent 3 glorious nights at Sunset Piper this past weekend for a friend's special birthday. It was a cold and damp couple of days to start, but the caretaker delivered dry firewood and we had 3 fireplaces blazing!! The sleeping arrangements suited our purposes very well, the beds very clean, fresh and comfortable. We took advantage of the large tub in the master suite. The kitchen is well equipped and we managed to cook some fabulous meals there. On Sunday the sun came out and we hiked the beach in front of the property and also the public beach down the road. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a comfortable and well equipped home away from home."
