  • Beautiful home with incredible views!

"Our group of 6 women just spend 5 wonderful days at this incredible home. Our group had such a great time. The house is so spacious - so much room to gather together as a group, we never felt crowded or cramped. The large kitchen was well equipped. The views were amazing! Waking up every morning to watch the sunrise and see the fisherman go out on their boats. It is even better in person than the pictures shown. We just can't say enough positive things about this house. The owners and caretaker were also great to work with - friendly and responsive."

  • Relaxing and beautiful

"My family and I travelled to the Halifax area for my niece's graduation. We wanted to make it a relaxing family vacation at the same time. It was such a beautiful location and so peaceful. We loved watching the tide come in and out, the boats go by, the morning fog, finding shells and seaglass, bird watching... it was great. We also loved being able to cook dinner right at the cottage and eating meals out on the deck. Plenty of space to accommodate our family. Our children loved it too! Thanks for a great vacation! Hope to visit again in the future!"

  • Comfort, Convenience and Perfection

"A beautiful drive, spanning nearly 2000 kilometers, is fantastically capped as our family of four pull in to the Mainsail and its perfect view of the Atlantic ocean. Before we can draw a breath of the salty air our amazing hosts are greeting us. We get the welcoming tour and what a great place it is! A very clean space with ample linens and stocked full of all the little things you don't want to have to get while away. Small extras provided by our hosts made going swimming, having a campfire or enjoying the Hubbard's parade even more amazing. The photos are unable to capture the beauty of the setting or the surprising amount of space afforded within the cottage. Hubbard's was full of amazing sites and activities. Our lucky timing coordinated with fireworks, a parade, and live performances on the cove. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful when needed. If you have the pleasure of being in Hubbard's for the farmer's market it is an essential stop. I would be remiss if I did not mention the ceilidh we experienced as our hosts, at the Trellis Cafe, gave us a memorable performance that is a highlight of our visit. Every moment of our stay could be described like the music of that night. "And the songs get louder, Each one better than before" We would be back in a heartbeat."

  • Peaceful Retreat

"We stayed here in early April for a geocaching getaway to explore Nova Scotia. Knowing the weather could be iffy this time of year, I wanted a peaceful place on the ocean with a fireplace for cozy evenings even if the wind was howling outside. This place fit the bill perfectly and Bill provided us with ample logs. Thankfully the fireplace was easy to use. It is a beautiful home in a peaceful location and even though neighbours aren't that far away (if needed) you'd never know it - perfect for what we were looking for. To get to this secluded location in a gated community, you need to travel approx 4 km down gravel roads. We especially enjoyed returning around dusk because there was lots of wildlife we encountered on these quiet country roads. We saw deer, porcupine and even a ruffed grouse showing off in hopes of attracting a mate. We also enjoyed evening walks along the quiet country road. Bill was great to deal with and even when we encountered a misunderstanding, he was quick to make it right. He is trusting, welcoming and helpful and we appreciated the special touch of flowers, chocolate and wine welcoming us upon arrival. Kudos to his cleaning staff (he told us who does his cleaning but that's our little secret :)) who make sure the place is spic and span. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn't hesitate to return."
