  • You have to see this getaway in person to believe it

"You never know what to expect, but honestly it was an unbelievable week. From the grand welcome we received to the calm and peace of the surroundings - it was a vacation that surpassed any others we've taken. The unobstructed view is breathtaking and the piped in music to the outdoor patio made it so relaxing. The home is outfitted with everything you could possibly need and it appeared professionally decorated and comforting. Its too bad we couldn't make use of the fireplace (it was warm that week) but I bet curled up on a Fall evening it would be spectacular. Having the ensuite washer/dryer and clothesline was very convenient while on holiday. Don't forget to try the outdoor shower, it is private and the sun is very warming on your back! The property while secluded is still very accessible to Antigonish, New Glasgow and a short ride to Caribou if you wanted to catch the ferry to PEI. There are many opportunities for sightseeing in the area. Thank you to the MacLean family including Bella who greeted us every day, you were all very gracious and attentive. We will be back!"

  • Great time had by all

"We had a wonderful time at the Cottage. It was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the South Shore. Having the ferry and the bakery so close was really nice too. The cottage was as expected--clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of 3. No complaints at all. Thanks for a wonderful stay. To future guests--hit Rhubarb restaurant near Peggy's cove--very yummy and the best chowder around. Risser's beach and crescent beach were both really nice. We found a very off the beaten path hike not too far from Peggy's Cove--can't remember the name though. But, it was a great hike along the coast and we avoided the masses at Peggy's Cove."

  • Spectacular Setting

"We truly enjoyed the location of this little cabin. The views, privacy, and proximity were exactly what we wanted. It was convenient to drive to Halifax, down to Lunenburg, and over to the Bay of Fundy to see their sights. We loved to walk on the amazing shoreline boulders nearby, enjoy a picnic, and watch the waves come crashing in; we were the only people around. The cabin was easy to find and the hosts were very helpful. We bought fresh fish several days and cooked them at the cabin, there was everything we needed in the kitchen. The bedroom is quite small and without a place to hang clothes but the views cannot be beat. In fact, we loved the views from every window. There were ample towels and bottled water was supplied. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend this cabin if privacy and beautiful views are important."

  • Halifax Home away from Home

"We rented this unit for the month of August as we were in the area for our son's wedding and needed a base from which to operate. The property was excellent for us as we had many family members like our selves traveling from afar and this gave them a place to stop off while visiting the area. The house is ideally located being only 20 min from downtown Halifax or Dartmouth. It is situated so one can explore both the Fundy shore or the area from Halifax to Lunenburg and on to Yarmouth. That is if you can drag your self away from those Muskoka chairs overlooking the pond. Paul was a most gracious host and was always there if we had a problem which were few. Our one son came with an 18 month old and she enjoyed feeding the ducks in the pond so this is an excellent place for people with children. We would definately stay here again but it books up fast though because it is a popular place."
