"We loved our stay... Our first introduction to the maritimes and Harbour's Reach did not disappoint. Hard to leave after 3 days.. Cheryl and Tony were warm & friendly and their detailed orientation was very much appreciated."

  • All that and a bag of chips!

"6 long time friends rendez-voused for our 20 year reunion. This place was perfect. lots of space including the open floor plan and deck to hang out together, separate area downstairs, lots of outdoor space and waves to wash away hangovers. It was a bit of a drive (20 minutes) into town but it was no big deal. All of us are thinking about bringing our families back in the future. Our weather was perfect but even with rain the place is big enough that you wouldn't have to worry about cabin fever. Debbie was very easy to deal with gave great directions, instructions, etc."

  • Amazing property in the perfect location!

"We rented this property from September 1st-5th and it was absolutely perfect. Our family had a wonderful time soaking up the sun on the stunning beach that is across the street from the home. There is a nice little canteen with ice cream and treats directly across the street (my 3 year old loved going there). The house was stacked with everything you could possibly need for a vacation-they really thought of everything. It was so easy to bring my family there (Myself my husband our 3 year old and 5 month old) because we had everything we needed at our finger tips. The outdoor shower is fantastic as we were full of sand from the beach. The huge deck, bbq, board games etc made it easy to entertain the relatives that came to visit. This property is spotless and very comfortable. Joe was amazing from the moment we spoke on the phone and during our stay. He is very informative and made sure we were having a good time. I would highly recommend this property and I plan on booking again next summer. A big thanks to Joe and his wife for allowing us to rent this home- we created some pretty wonderful memories for our children."

  • Great Base for Exploring the Eastern Side of Cape Breton Highlands National Park

"Sure enjoyed our 5-night stay at the spacious and clean “Hilltop Haven” cottage. We were able to do lots of things during our stay. But hiking in the National Park was our priority. We hiked Freshwater Lake Look-off, Middle Head, Mary Ann Falls, half of the Coastal Trail, part of the Mica Hill Trail, and Franey – to the top for a gorgeous panoramic view on a gorgeous sunny day! And Gorgeous were the views from the Cabot Trail and on our drive to Meat Cove. Even the blustery weather provided spectacular scenes of crashing waves at the tip of White Point. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which would be ideal for families (super spacious for only the 2 of us). The washer and dryer were definitely needed by us as we were on a one month vacation of Nova Scotia. Thanks for being such friendly hosts. We enjoyed our conversations with you. And a special thanks to Greg for the fish, which lasted us for two dinners – absolutely delicious! We highly recommend the “Hilltop Haven” cottage! Be sure to go for ice cream at the Lighthouse!"
