  • Halifax Home away from Home

"We rented this unit for the month of August as we were in the area for our son's wedding and needed a base from which to operate. The property was excellent for us as we had many family members like our selves traveling from afar and this gave them a place to stop off while visiting the area. The house is ideally located being only 20 min from downtown Halifax or Dartmouth. It is situated so one can explore both the Fundy shore or the area from Halifax to Lunenburg and on to Yarmouth. That is if you can drag your self away from those Muskoka chairs overlooking the pond. Paul was a most gracious host and was always there if we had a problem which were few. Our one son came with an 18 month old and she enjoyed feeding the ducks in the pond so this is an excellent place for people with children. We would definately stay here again but it books up fast though because it is a popular place."

  • You have to see this getaway in person to believe it

"You never know what to expect, but honestly it was an unbelievable week. From the grand welcome we received to the calm and peace of the surroundings - it was a vacation that surpassed any others we've taken. The unobstructed view is breathtaking and the piped in music to the outdoor patio made it so relaxing. The home is outfitted with everything you could possibly need and it appeared professionally decorated and comforting. Its too bad we couldn't make use of the fireplace (it was warm that week) but I bet curled up on a Fall evening it would be spectacular. Having the ensuite washer/dryer and clothesline was very convenient while on holiday. Don't forget to try the outdoor shower, it is private and the sun is very warming on your back! The property while secluded is still very accessible to Antigonish, New Glasgow and a short ride to Caribou if you wanted to catch the ferry to PEI. There are many opportunities for sightseeing in the area. Thank you to the MacLean family including Bella who greeted us every day, you were all very gracious and attentive. We will be back!"

  • Excellent home base for our travels

"This was a wonderful rental. It was in a beautiful spot with a great view. It fit five adults with room to spare. Joe was great to work with - everything proceeded smoothly."

  • Everything you need in a great location!!

"This 2 bedroom condo is in a great location within walking distance from both downtown and the waterfront. It is comfortably furnished with a large dining table, sectional couch, easy chairs and very comfy beds. Lots of linens and every kitchen utensil that you need. A full package of instructions for everything from accessing the unit to parking and checkout arrived promptly after payment, and even included restaurant and sightseeing suggestions for a 6 day stay. The unit was clean and very serviceable. One other bonus is a wonderfully friendly and helpful building superintendent! I would recommend this without hesitation, it was a great accommodation for the week we were there, very good value."
