"Had a lovely time staying at this cottage. The host was very responsive to every query and detail. The lake is beautiful in this area and so is the property. You will not regret staying here."

  • FANTASTIC Girls Weekend!!!

"I rented this cottage for a Girls Weekend Sep 11-13. It was absolutely PERFECT. Spotless, well equipped, and even a few little extras that we didn't expect. Owner (Deb) was very accommodating and helpful with any questions I had in regards to the area and was quick to respond to inquiries. We had an amazing, relaxing weekend and truly hated to leave. I'm sure we will be back in the future and I would definitely recommend this property. Thanks again Deb for sharing your beautiful "Trillium House" !!!"

  • BEAUTIFUL HOME, BUT DATED!!

"We had a wedding to go to in Niagara on the Lake so found this very nicely appointed home with 5 Bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It was great that each couple or single had their own bed and bath. That made getting ready for the wedding very comfortable. the house itself from the front is deceiving as it's much bigger inside and from the back. Rooms are nicely decorated and it was a very comfortable home to stay in. Being that the owner has many properties he owns both commercially and residentially I was surprised that the home was very dated as far as upkeep. For the price of the home for the week, I would have expected much higher standards in the home especially the kitchen area. Being that several of the guests are high end cooks the kitchen was less than impressive. For $3900 + Gst for 7 days, the cost did not match the deteriorating condition of the home. Also, being that it was April, neither the pool area nor the dock could be enjoyed due to inclement weather as well, so I believe that the price should have been lower for that time and season. However, the house was clean and spacious as other reviews have said. The owner was also quick to send someone when we were having some issues in the home like the unbelievably huge spiders. and the plumbing. Would we stay here again? Possibly, but the home itself would have to be renovated and brought up to date for the price. Also the profile of the home features 5 bedrooms with either King or Queen beds, however, the room that my wife and I stayed in had two twin beds that even if we had pulled them together, would have made the room very awkward to get around, so I believe that the profile is not a true statement for the home and should be advertised more appropriately."

  • Charming Cottage

"My family and I stayed at Chisolm House, Christmas 2015. What a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Cosy, warm and inviting. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We chose Burlington as we were visiting our Canadian friends for Christmas. Brian (the host) could not have been more accommodating, an absolute pleasure to deal with. The outdoor ice skating rink at the end of the street was fantastic. We bought second hand ice skates and walked down to the rink every night, it was brilliant for our kids. The neighborhood was so friendly, one lot of kids gave our Aussie kids there old hockey sticks on Christmas Day. We wished we could have stayed longer. I could not recommend Chisolm House highly enough. We will definitely be back one day, our family would love to live there. Thank you Brian for sharing your beautiful home and being so helpful."
