  • Amazing Getaway

"We had a fantastic time at the log house. Brian, the owner, met us shortly after our arrival, showed us around and made us feel at home and informed. The cabin is spacious, it has five rooms upstairs, that comfortably housed nine of us. The main floor has everything you could hope for, including a sun room, fireplace, large dinning tables, apple tv and small library among other things. The outdoor areas were also fantastic. We look forward to our next stay."

  • Loved it!

"The Lake House is a beautifully updated, well maintained and spotlessly clean home away from home anytime of year. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our winter weekend and plan on returning next year if not sooner. Thank you!"

  • Lakefront Paradise

"Our family had a wonderful time at Tigh na Loch. Sue & Phil were a pleasure to deal with. Their property is the perfect spot for a family vacation. Everything you could ever need is there. The location is incredible! 180 degree views of the lake. Always a cross breeze. Close proximity to Portland. Big Rideau Lake is a treasure. Our family was so sad to leave & hope to have the opportunity to return. If you want a peaceful & relaxing vacation with easy access to a pristine lake then Tigh na Loch is not to be missed. Thank you Sue & Phil for your wonderful hospitality & for sharing your wonderful property with our family!"

  • Magical Place

"My friends and I are a group of designers, engineers, and artists who are simply drawn to beauty, harmony and nature. We travel and welcome new possibilities. To ring in the new year (2016), we decided to get away from the madness in Toronto and resort to a cottage accessible from Montreal (for those of us who live there). I found The Lake House, and merely by accident and fell in love. After corresponding with Marla, who had built the cottages and properties over the years, I was certain that this is the place we wanted to be for a few days. And it was magical. The cottages were beautifully designed, decorated and were well-equipped with everything that we needed, including comfortable rooms, beds, vintage pieces, kitchen appliances, hammocks, fireplace, wifi, and etc. We played board games, listen to music, and even though it was reported that Ontario had been colder than Mars and the North Pole during that time, we were warm and happy."
