  • Lovely, relaxing place!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this sweet cottage. Just as depicted in the pictures, the screen porch & view of the lake is idyllic. The shallow beach was perfect for teaching our dog to swim. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the dock, with its beautiful views, and especially enjoyed a visit from a pair of loons! The cottage interior was clean and perfectly comfortable; although some of the furniture is a little beat up, to my mind that is part of the lake cottage vibe & helps me relax & settle in. Les was a warm & helpful host. Easy day trips into Algonquin Park and Huntsville, and of course DAILY stops at Henrietta's bakery in Dwight. We hope to come back & stay longer next time."

  • Family Vacation

"We stayed at the cabin for 2 1/2 weeks on a family holiday. The pictures are exactly the way the cabin looks. It is well looked after and comes with everything that you will need and has a beautiful view of the lake. For a family of 5 it is ideal and there was plenty of room when we had 3 guests for a weekend. We brought our boat with us and there is a boat launch on the property which is a bonus! There is no beach to swim from but the dock is large and in great shape and has a swim ladder off of the end where we did all of our swimming. There is a fire pit but we didn't end up using it as the weather was much too hot. For boating the location is excellent and if you want to drive in to Kenora, it is only a 15 or 20 minute car ride. We have booked the cabin again for a couple of weeks in the summer of 2017."

  • Great Choice

"Loved staying here. We stayed four nights for a girls wine tasting get away. This was the perfect spot - central to everything you could want. The place was very modern and clean and very well equipped - the perfect setup for a girls trip. It is on the second floor and the stairs are steep so anyone with mobility issues might find the steps difficult. Staff was also exceptionally friendly and accommodating. If we go back I would definitely stay here again. Only issue we had was that one of the TV's didn't seem to want to work but we didn't go to watch TV. I love the Victorian housing available throughout the area, but personally prefer to stay in a more modern setting and this one checked all the boxes."

  • Perfect stay! Very nice and tidy place

"Great place to stay, comes with all accommodations for at least 2 people plus an extra bedroom available. Owner is very professional and helping, too, so all in all a great experience! Close by transit and mall are also a big plus."
