  • Lovely stay on Skeleton Lake in fabulous home

"Our multi-generational family enjoyed our 4 nites at this beautiful home. It was spotless, nicely appointed, spacious rooms and had an, amazing view over the lake. It was situated on a private lot with an extensive multilevel dock. My nephew learned to fish and it seems that close to shore is one of the best spots on the lake. He even caught something off the cottage dock. My dog loved scrambling over the rocks to retrieve his ball and dove in and out of the water all day. The kitchen is very well equipped. There were fans in some of the rooms so there was no need for air conditioning. The lake was a nice swimming temperature and did not have a mucky bottom. We only used the firepit one night and the mosquitos got us but that was the only time they were an annoyance. I would love to return for a girls weekend!"

  • Loved this little piece of heaven

"Myself and my husband and older boys 20 and 17 decided this was where we were going to spend a week this summer. We allowed them each to bring a friend so the 4 males had the loft which worked out perfect, they slept in, stayed up late, watched movies and hung out in their own space. We also had a couple join us while we were there and we just had a great time. We loved the space, the option of a TV which we actually had on in the morning while we were cooking breakfast. We used all the boats and especially loved the SUP which we didn't even know were we getting until a few days before. When I was booking this the reason that I chose this cottage was a) the width of the dock so that many people could sit down there and not trip over each other, b) I also loved the loft with its own bathroom 👍🏻, C) all the outdoor seating areas and d) the shallow water area, To me these little things set this cottage apart from the rest. My boys love fishing and they didn't even spend that much time fishing we all just sat by the dock and enjoyed the water and each other, they didn't catch any fish but still had a fabulous week. I did bring a floating island and we spent a lot of time relaxing in it as well. From start to finish this was by far the best cottage rental I have done. Thank you!"

  • Nice Property but could use more TLC!

"This was the second Thanksgiving our family of 13 have spent at this property. Last year of course was good and that is why we booked right away after. The property has all the amenities that a large group can ask for ping-pong,volleyball,kayaks,canoe etc etc. The property is just a few years old and for the most part in good shape. The bathrooms are clean and floors vacuumed. The stove top had a piece missing as well as a large crack( this should have been fixed). The plumbing in master bath was loose and should be secured. The windows were all dirty and should have been much cleaner. The house is surrounded by sand which needed more attention than was given. The property should be raked during the summer months especially the volleyball court. Our contact Norm was a great guy on the phone and very easy to work with. Also we were the last renters for the season so after a busy summer I'm sure not all can be perfect. The property is great for a large group and to finish the property gave our family 2 Great Thanksgiving weekends. Thanks Norm."

  • Great Spot on Dickie Lake

"Our family of 4 (two boys age 11 and 14) shared this cottage with a family of five (one boy age 11 and two girls age 13) and had a great weekend. Cottage has lots of space for this number of people and if anyone wanted to spend some quiet time on their own, it was easy to do. The cottage has a great character to it, with all the modern amenities that you might want. The cottage was in very good condition and obviously well cared for. There were some very unique antique pieces that added to the character. The grounds were very well kept. Everyone loved the lake, although there are some large rocks near the two docks so that it is imperative that your kids be reminded not to dive. Dickie Lake is very quiet and great for swimming and boating. Couldn't be a nicer spot for swimming in Muskoka. Water gets deep quickly. Baysville also has all that a cottage goer would need, with Huntsville and Bracebridge easy drives away. We had a very minor issue with the Wi-Fi and when I raised it with Terry, she and her husband immediately took every step to rectify it, including involving Bell. It was up and running very quickly despite me assuring them that we were not overly concerned about it. We had immediate feedback following our week from Terry to ensure that we had a good week and to request any suggestions on improving the experience. She immediately returned our damage deposit without any issues at all. She and her husband were entirely professional throughout our involvement with them. We would love to return to this cottage next summer!"
