  • Amazing property with incredible vistas, we didn't want to leave!

"The listing and photos do not do this property justice. The sense of the family ties through the generations made our stay real, reminded me of growing up at our cottage as a young lad. And now my daughter (7) had the same experience. When asked, what was your favourite part of our cottage vacation at Rosseau, she emphatically stated 'All of it'! Evenings on the porch, lunch on the dock, swimming to the lighthouse (farther than it looks, and we recommend a paddler accompany you for visibility!), our daughter learning to kayak, the lovely family kitchen, all of it was just wonderful. Clean, sorted with the things we needed - as advertised. several good hikes around and watersports were wonderful. Great cycling - although highway 632 isn't for the faint of heart! We highly recommend this spot, we will be going back. And the owners were wonderful to deal with."

  • A wonderful place for our family !

"We spent a week here with our 2 sons,2 daughter-in-laws, and 4 grandchildren ( 4 yaars and younger) . Home was very well equipped and such a nice touch to be able to use basic provisions like sugar, flour, spices etc. Kitchen was very well equipped - couldn't ask for more. We loved our dinners in the screened gazebo. The children loved the beach, the shallow water, the bin of toys - especially the big Tonka trucks. We all enjoyed the paddleboat, kayaks and canoe. Having bedrooms on 3 floors meant that we could all spread out .Everything was spotlessly clean. The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is the fact that the train yard in MacTier is very close and you can hear trains blowing their whistle and cars shunting during the night ! Otherwise, it was perfect ."

  • Beautiful Winter Getaway

"I stayed at this property for 2 nights around New Year's Eve and it was an absolutely flawless experience. The cottage is exactly as it appears in the photographs, if not even better! It is fully equipped with lines and complete kitchen, and even has an espresso machine. The staff at the Rocky Crest resort are extremely helpful and the club house where the hot tub and pool table are found is easily accessible. We were the only ones using the hot tub at the time when we went. Skiing is very close by (45 mins away) and Perry Sound is only 20 mins away from the property. Overall, a beautiful cottage and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again!"

  • A Fantastic place

"We are travellers from Australia who were visiting friends and relatives in Ontario. We stayed here for 5 nights over the May 2 4 weekend. It is a truly beautiful cottage. We had 5 adults and 3 children and the cabin (s) easily met our needs. the view is spectacular and the boathouses (you get 2) are comfortable and very well equipped. You have the use of a myriad of water equipment including, kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Life jackets are also supplied for the safety minded. The diving tower was a big hit for the young and the young at heart. The boathouses are on a point and you have exclusive access to this entire area. the owners have a cottage on the ridge behind you but you feel as if you have the entire area to yourself. It doesn't matter if the owners are staying. We had the pleasure of meeting them and their hospitality matched the beauty of the lake. It is a 20 minute drive to Mactier for supplies and there is a marina 5 minutes away if you would like to hire a boat etc (definitely book early as they get very busy) The boathouses are magnificent but they pale in comparison to the lake and the bay. You are in a quiet bay off of the main lake. The water is crystal clear and weed free (although a little cold when we were there). If there was an option to give 6 stars I would."
