  • Ideal for a winter family retreat.

"The cottage is well-equipped and spacious, sleeping 10 comfortably. However, it is the location and orientation of the cottage on a point of land overlooking the white pines and the frozen lake, visible through the generous placement of windows throughout the cottage, which makes this property so special. Add the ambiance of a warm crackling fire in either of the two large stone fireplaces (with ample split firewood readily available) and you have the setting for a wonderful family retreat. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and cross-country skiing and walking in the woods on our cold but sunny weekend. Thanks for the memories."

  • Family fishing weekend!

"My family started enjoying the beauty of Muskoka in the summer of 1969. Every year since then we have rented a cottage and Baypoint offers a first class experience. My father is 86 years old and having the cottage close to the water with little to no stairs for him to travel from cottage to dock is a luxury. The cottage itself offers all the amenities and pride of ownership is clearly evident. We just completed our annual fishing weekend which resulted in a boat full of small mouth bass and wonderful family memories. If you simply want to read on the dock, swim, canoe, fish and lower your blood pressure......Baypoint is the place to go. Treating the cottage with respect ensures an invite back the next year. Thanks to the owners for years of enjoyment!!"

  • A Fantastic place

"We are travellers from Australia who were visiting friends and relatives in Ontario. We stayed here for 5 nights over the May 2 4 weekend. It is a truly beautiful cottage. We had 5 adults and 3 children and the cabin (s) easily met our needs. the view is spectacular and the boathouses (you get 2) are comfortable and very well equipped. You have the use of a myriad of water equipment including, kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Life jackets are also supplied for the safety minded. The diving tower was a big hit for the young and the young at heart. The boathouses are on a point and you have exclusive access to this entire area. the owners have a cottage on the ridge behind you but you feel as if you have the entire area to yourself. It doesn't matter if the owners are staying. We had the pleasure of meeting them and their hospitality matched the beauty of the lake. It is a 20 minute drive to Mactier for supplies and there is a marina 5 minutes away if you would like to hire a boat etc (definitely book early as they get very busy) The boathouses are magnificent but they pale in comparison to the lake and the bay. You are in a quiet bay off of the main lake. The water is crystal clear and weed free (although a little cold when we were there). If there was an option to give 6 stars I would."

  • Lovely spot

"I spent a week here with my parents, my husband and our 13 year old son and had a great week. The cottage is clean, in a great location and well maintained. It is very close to Parry Sound and Port Carling for awesome day trips. The rooftop of the boathouse is a great spot to spend the day complete with very comfy lounge chairs and an amazing view! The "gentle walk" to the water is a steep hike and needs to be considered if mobility is an issue. The only missing amenity was a paddle board - otherwise it has it all. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, paddle boat and ping pong. I would recommend this property."
