  • Beautiful, Comfortable cottage on a quiet lake

"We spent a week at this lovely cottage with my family in early August. The property exceeded our expectations. It was big, clean and well equipped with plenty of room for five adults and four kids. The lake was quiet with little boat traffic and was steps away from the cottage with swallow water access from the dock and shore making it ideal for kids. I would recommend water shoes as the lake is rock bottom. The bedrooms were large and clean, the open concept kitchen was well equipped allowing for easy meal preparation. There is a large deck off the living room that is prefect for outdoor meals with lots of room for the kids to play. The owners were lovely, very responsive before and after our stay. Overall an excellent experience. We would definitely go back."

  • Great rental - beautiful and everything you could want!

"This cottage was absolutely beautiful - exactly as the pictures had shown. It was impeccably cleaned and maintained and the perfect layout for our family of 5. The kitchen has a great layout for cooking and the living area easily accommodates everyone very comfortably. We were at the cottage over the latter part of the summer and when the nights got a little cooler we were able to make use of the hot tub which easily fit 5 adult-sized people. Our boys really liked the putting green and the large projection screen at night for movies. The large screen TV was easy to use. Initially we had difficulty getting the stereo system going but Warren quickly responded to our call for help and walked us through that. My husband and I loved the screened-in porch, complete with a table for 6 and a TV - I think we ate every meal out there as it was so nice to be able to eat and drink outside without the bugs, catch the end of the Oympics and watch the boats go by. We loved the location; close to town but still removed enough to feel like you were away from it all. We brought our own boat - the dock was one of the best we have seen and again this was the perfect location as it allowed us to quickly boat to the locks to cruise the other lakes west of us as well as just cruise into Fenelon Falls for a bite or some shopping. We highly recommend this rental - you won't be disappointed!"

  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"This was the perfect rental for our family of 6, including our elderly parents. We were looking for flat land, very few steps and stairs and this cottage delivered. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the octagonal shape was unique and very spacious. The property had lots of sun and shade, lots of seating around a great firepit and a beautiful shaded deck and bbq spot. We loved sitting on the deck or docks overlooking the channel. It was so relaxing and fun to watch people go by in canoes, paddleboards, kayaks and the odd boat of all sizes. The neighbours were friendly but quiet and probably quite relieved that we were too ;) It was a very peaceful piece of paradise and we would love to return. Thank you Jackie for being so helpful in helping us decide if your place was right for us. You were most hospitable in every way. We truly appreciate you allowing us to rent your cottage and make lasting memories. Sincerely, Cathy & family :)"

  • Comfy beds, spacious, lots of boats!

"Tall Pines comes as advertised! My family spent just under a week at Tall Pines in late august. The beds were comfy, shower was great, and there were lots of boats to enjoy. Lee and Bruce were clear about what to expect and we would definitely return. The only drawback was the lake was filled with a lot of algae because of a warm winter & spring but we were warned of this ahead of time. We still enjoyed swimming and could paddle out a little ways for clearer waters."
