  • Wonderful family weekend away spot!

"This is a beautiful and well maintained property right on the water. It has peaceful views and lots of room for a family get away. We loved it so much this past weekend that we are already planning a return trip next year and maybe this summer too."

  • Great for privacy

"This was a lovely spot to stay for a fall getaway, it was very quiet and private, as the other building on the property was vacant. It was super for canoeing, and the bike trail provided an easy ride into Fenelon Falls. We saw a painted turtle while out on the canoe, and a heron while on the bike trail. Fantastic! The outdoor space was generous, and lots to do, but bring a ball if you want to make use of the soccer nets, and the trampoline was a real bonus. The town is small, but has an interesting assortment of businesses, including a grocery store, bargains store, and antiques and collectibles. The ice cream parlour didn't seem to be open for the fall weekday business, but we were able to purchase Kawartha ice cream in tubs at the grocery store. It has an ok equipped kitchen, but was lacking in some basics like oven mitts, flat trays for heating in the oven, and utensils to make omelette making easy. And it would have been nice to have wine glasses for enjoying our wine. The coffee cups and glasses were also on the small side. And there is no salt and pepper provided, so be sure to bring your own. However, it is new construction, and I expect that as time goes by these things will get sorted out, and overall are minor inconveniences. Overall we had a great time, and I would definitely recommend this property, the owner answered emails promptly, and it is obvious that care has been taken of this property."

  • Beautiful, Comfortable cottage on a quiet lake

"We spent a week at this lovely cottage with my family in early August. The property exceeded our expectations. It was big, clean and well equipped with plenty of room for five adults and four kids. The lake was quiet with little boat traffic and was steps away from the cottage with swallow water access from the dock and shore making it ideal for kids. I would recommend water shoes as the lake is rock bottom. The bedrooms were large and clean, the open concept kitchen was well equipped allowing for easy meal preparation. There is a large deck off the living room that is prefect for outdoor meals with lots of room for the kids to play. The owners were lovely, very responsive before and after our stay. Overall an excellent experience. We would definitely go back."

  • Great Weekend Away

"We had a group of 10 people for a couple of days and we had a great time. The house was well maintained, and there was lots of space. The home has all of the things you would need to make a cottage weekend great, including a BBQ, beautiful dock, multiple fire pits, and an awesome backyard patio. There was plenty of seating outside and inside for all. Our bed was a bit springy, but everyone has their bed preferences, and none of our friends had any bed complaints. Truthfully, 10 might have been too large of a group. The day bed is not ideal for sleeping at night as it's enclosed by a windowed room (so it probably gets really bright and hot come sun-up), so 2 of our guests bit the bullet and slept on the couches. I believe inside, there were 3 queen beds, and a double/single bunk with a double at the bottom bunk, and a single at the top bunk. 9 would be the perfect number if 3 people could happily sleep in the room with the double/single bunk. Granted, their couches were very large and comfortable, so it didn't make sleeping on them a challenge. The owner was very kind and communicative. All in all, a great weekend away from everyday life."
