  • Great location and sunsets. Cottage and large deck provided adequate space. Well maintained

"This was probably one of our more favourable cottage weeks. A bit different from beachfront and just laying on a beach, we had the ability to boat around, tube and fish with very little work. Very nice location with respect to boat launch, docking right on property and sunsets. We were 8 persons (4 adults, 4 children) and managed pretty well within the cottage layout and space (although 6 max would be preferred occupation). Main bath is a large rm but shower was small. Lake is quite shallow overall and you need to know where you're going or it could cost you a prop, or possibly more. Access to onsite canoe was enjoyed very much by the kids. Evenings by the fire and dock are postcard events. We would definitely book this property again."

  • Right by the lake!

"I have stayed here twice now, once in the summer and once in the winter. Both times were amazing and relaxing. The property has kayaks to use out on the lake and the little bit of beach is nice to lay out in the sun on. The sauna is PERFECT in the winter after going for a walk out in the cold and snow. I will go again!"

  • Lovely winter getaway!

"We booked the Butternut Cottage as a base for skiing at Devil's Elbow. What a great spot! The place was clean and spacious and there was plenty of room for our family of five. The breathtaking westerly vistas and sunsets, the lovely fire place and the hot tub presented the perfect backdrop after an active day on the slopes. We recommend this to any family looking to getaway from the city and relax."

  • Nice Place for a Getaway

"We were three families with teenage boys looking to get away from the City for a couple of days after Christmas. The cottage is very clean, has many beautiful decks (though we didn't use them), and is well kept. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything was quite new and clean. We had no issues with the internet, even with all the boys. The layout is kind of like a tree fort with spiral staircases and a ladder to top floor bathroom, so not recommended for toddlers or anyone with limited mobility."
