  • SPLENDID FAMILY REUNION

"We spent a lovely week at the lodge with our extended family. We all enjoyed the unique decor and looking at the photos of the owners expeditions. All basic necessities were included and met our needs. The kids enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub and we ate many meals in the outside dining shelter. The setting is beautiful with the lodge perched up upon the granite with a beautiful view of the Lacloche mountains in the background. The sunsets were spectacular and the water and dock were great for swimming. The property was easily accessible by car and boat (we docked our cruiser during our stay) which allowed the families the use of the lodge. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking and hiking in the nearby village. We had a spectacular week together and would recommend the lodge in the future."

  • A quiet place for relaxation and rest

"Very nice location. Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, a chance to relax and rest. More then enough room for the maximum of 6 people. Cottage faces the sunrise so every morning is a treat."

  • idyllic retreat

"Dillon's island is indeed a special place...private yet convenient, cozy, comfortable and also thoughtfully laid out, with an amazingly well-provisioned kitchen. I kept thinking I would need something that wasn't there, but after a few minutes of looking, I always found it! We took full advantage of the wonders offered, including a half-day fishing with Ojibway guide Bully King. He was terrific and we caught 4 fish, which he cleaned and de-boned for us to enjoy later that night at dinner. We also hike up to Lake Topaz (lovely), kayaked around the bay, and had a pizza night, using the wood-buning oven on the island. The sleeping cabins were comfortable and roomy, and exploring the 4 acres was excellent fun for our dog. Thanks John, we hope to see you next summer!"
