  • Girls weekend away

"House was nicely equipped with standard kitchen supplies (utensils, cutlery, plates/bowls, glassware), soaps, toilet paper, and towels. Overall the house was clean and functional, the property was charming, and the bedrooms were very cute! Only downside was that the air circulation in the upstairs floor wasn't great, and there weren't any ceiling fans to use. Windows seem to be permanently shut (or at least very difficult to open), so we couldn't get any breeze in the rooms. Also, the wall lights didn't turn on, and there weren't any switches to turn on lights (most likely because it is an older house and this wasn't an option back then). Not necessarily a deal breaker, but in the hot heat of the summer, it would be nice to have. One neighbour was very unfriendly - this isn't an issue with the house per say, but still an unpleasant experience nonetheless. Our group (which majority was 50+ in age) was outside chatting at 8:45pm and she marched over to us saying that we were "SCREAMING" and was very rude. Meanwhile, there was a house down the road with music blasting all night."

  • Wonderful little cottage

"The cottage is absolutely charming and spotlessly clean. The view is magnificent. We drove to and from Thunder Bay everyday as we were visiting family. During our nightly drives, we saw a Momma bear and her two cubs, several small foxes, deer, raccoons, and other critters. On our first morning, a beautiful falcon flew overhead and perched nearby a bald eagle. The cottage is so peaceful and cozy. Although on a remote road, there were always some people around in the neighbouring cottages. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and found Carolyn wonderful to deal with."

  • Family Holiday

"Our family of 7 adults and 2 children stayed for three nights in this wonderful, spacious home. Everything we needed was provided for us, the beds were very comfortable and there was more than enough space for all to enjoy. The garden is well cared for and private, the neighbourhood is beautiful and great for jogging and walks. We all agreed that we couldn't have chosen better and do not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who plans to stay in this area. Thanks again, Karen, for the ease of booking and an exceptional stay!"

  • Fabulous Time Had By All

"We stayed at Treasure Point with 3 generations of my family and we all had the best time there. The log cabin is absolutely breath-taking and the owners have put so much thought into the fine details of making it a home away from home. From ages 1 to 72, there was something to do for everyone and plenty of space both indoors and out to enjoy the beautiful setting that Treasure Point is situated upon. From puzzles to games, fishing and swimming, there was so much to do that we never had a boring moment. The large spaces from kitchen to dining room, outdoor porch, lakeside dock were so accommodating for our large group. Even sharing the 1 bathroom was not an issue. We thank Tim and Nancy for such a wonderful experience and would gladly go back the next chance we get. A wonderful, unforgettable time."
