  • Highly recommend

"Thanks to the Lamont's for providing us a home away from home. We were 3 couples with kids who decided to spend October in muskoka and everyone had an unforgettable experience. Whether it's a stroll down the lane, friends by the fire or just a lazy afternoon on the porch over looking the lake, this beautiful home has it all. Note: if your into movies and entertainment then bring your own. For city folk, WiFi is provided but needed to be used sparingly. We were ok with it as this represented an opportunity to escape the norm. Perhaps in the future James would consider charging a premium for this service (I know a couple of us would have been happy to pay) In conclusion, everything as described, pleasure to deal with and deposit refunded very quickly Hope you enjoy it as much as we did Best regards"

  • Lovely spot for a girls weekend!

"We had a wonderful girls weekend at Cobblestone Farm. The farm house was very comfortable with separate beds for 6 of us (and there were more beds), beautiful common rooms, and two outdoor patios to enjoy the great weekend weather and the surrounding views of the countryside. The farm is close to both Cobourg and Port Hope so we enjoyed a bit of shopping as well. We had a very relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend it."

  • Total relaxation!

"What a special getaway and beautiful area! Treasure Island is a quiet, private, residential place perfectly located close to Kingston and Gananonoque. The home is charming with picturesque views from every room. We spent our mornings drinking coffee by the water's edge or from the deck watching the fish jump. Our evenings were lake side roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and drinking wine. The kids loved the rocky beach and jetty to climb, fish and explore. We all enjoyed the hot tub! We did lots of canoeing and rowing around the island when the water was calm. On the east side of the island as well as right off the jetty, we caught lots of fish including large mouth bass, northern pike and perch. My son even caught a 32 inch pike!!! As far as excursions, we enjoyed downtown Kingston, the farmers market in the town center, Fort Henry, Gananonoque and a 5 hour boat tour to Boldt Castle. Oh and Grassy Creek park is great for kids to swim and play in the play ground. Everyone we met in Canada was so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we have food allergies and therefore cooked all our meals so I cannot comment on the restaurants, but there were quite a few that looked amazing in Kingston! There's a great butcher nearby on 15. We weren't fond of the local grocery stores, we are used to whole foods, but we did enjoy Tara's Natural Foods in Kingston which is small and of course the farmers market. If you're looking for an equivalent to whole foods then go a little further to Farm Boy's. Overall this home has everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Treasure Island was loved by my whole family. Thank you Ellen and Ray Peters!!"
