  • A great house in a sleepy little town

"The house was a wonderful place for our extended family of 11. The teenage boys loved the apartment next door for their own space. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need and the hot tub was a great place to relax at the end of the day. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the house to others. Thanks Michael for checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed."

  • Fantastic Place

"3 Families, 12 in total, several teenagers. The cottage is warm, inviting spacious and clean. Has all the amenities. Nice deck for breakfast and dinner. The water is excellent, great swimming, fishing and tubing. Its a short hike to the waterfront but not bad. Bring a fold-up gazebo - there is a large open area at the dock and you will want shade if sitting around chatting. There are about 4 other docks in close proximity but we rarely saw any neighbours. This is a real beauty, well worth it. Thank you"

  • Great stay. Great Waterfront location.

"Very nice stay. 3 families with 1-5y old children. Proximity to to the lake with pedal boat, canoe and kayaks was a plus. Cottage was comfortable. Be aware that there are 2 buildings which are not connected (2 double bedrooms and 1 single in one building, and 2 double bedrooms in another one). Which worked well for us, but we hadn't realized it before we got there. We enjoyed the view, the lake, cottage life in general and went up for a lovely hike at Charleston Park. Proximity to Seeleys Bay and its little supermarket + LCBO is very practical! Owner was very friendly, responsive and flexible! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family!"

  • Family vacation

"Our family (19 of us aged 1 year to 62 years; 10 adults & 9 children aged 1 to 18 years) spent a fantastic week on Sheep Island. The sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly allowing the 4 oldest kids to occupy the cottage giving them their own space in the evenings where they could play cards, make tacos & popcorn etc. One couple slept in the cabin & the other adults & younger children in the house. The screened in porch was awesome providing a beautiful breeze & view. It contained 2 picnic tables that provided plenty of room for meals & lots of other seating for enjoying good times together in the evenings. There was lots of room outside to run around & play games & the trail was a great discovery. The water temperature was beautiful & the raft was another great benefit. Everyone enjoyed the hammock, the fire pit & hanging out on the dock. We rented a pontoon boat from the nearby marina to assist in ferrying all of us & our belongings the short distance to the island. Everyone marvelled at the idea of having an entire large island to ourselves! We have tried to find other such places in the past for our large family group that didn't quite work out for one reason or another: Sheep Island was perfect!"
