  • Family Winter Getaway

"We spent a week at Rosehill cottage with our 4 young children, and another family with their young children. We had a wonderful winter week away! The lake was frozen so we were able to clear the snow and do some skating and hockey, and the kids enjoyed exploring the property. We loved the cottage and we all slept comfortably! We went skiing and took some day trips into Ottawa. The driveway and walkway was kept cleared during the region's big snowstorm! We hope to come back some day! Thank you for sharing your lovely getaway with us!"

  • Charming Cottage

"My family and I stayed at Chisolm House, Christmas 2015. What a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Cosy, warm and inviting. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We chose Burlington as we were visiting our Canadian friends for Christmas. Brian (the host) could not have been more accommodating, an absolute pleasure to deal with. The outdoor ice skating rink at the end of the street was fantastic. We bought second hand ice skates and walked down to the rink every night, it was brilliant for our kids. The neighborhood was so friendly, one lot of kids gave our Aussie kids there old hockey sticks on Christmas Day. We wished we could have stayed longer. I could not recommend Chisolm House highly enough. We will definitely be back one day, our family would love to live there. Thank you Brian for sharing your beautiful home and being so helpful."

  • A cozy apartment in a great location

"We had a wonderful time in Toronto. I don't think we could have found a better area to stay. The apartment is in the middle of everywhere, within a walking distance to a lot of attractions and close to public transit. It is very cozy, private and had everything we needed for our stay. Chris and Mary are wonderful hosts and made us very welcome. My husband wouldn't stop talking about Mary's cookies or the bread she baked for us. Our only regret was that the trip went by so quickly. You can literally stay in that area for weeks and would not exhaust places to explore just in the vicinity of the apartment."

  • Basking in the fall splendour

"My 4th stay at the cottage. The fall colours were spectacular. Wonderfully peaceful walks surrounded by towering autumn coloured trees. I was lucky enough to witness the complete process until all of the leaves were gone. No matter. The white birch everywhere are just as beautiful bare. If you're looking for a simple, warm and welcoming cottage with no fancy frills, this is it, spring, summer or fall. 2 bathrooms are nice to have... water pressure is not as strong as in the city but you'll always enjoy the hot showers. If you want a quiet, no nonsense and simple retreat, this it. I was fortunate this time to enjoy two deer who spent an afternoon on the steps down to the lake and around the cottage. Find your favourite reading spot and you're good for hours. Beautiful views from all windows. Very quiet and private."
