  • Family visit

"I rented this house for my family (7 people) to stay while they were visiting me in the area. What a great option! The house is cozy, comfortable, and very clean. My family really appreciated how well set up everything was: a fully equipped kitchen, morning necessities like coffee, tea, and cream, 2 TVs with Netflix. Even umbrellas in the front hallway, which they put to good use! I'll use it again when we have a gang visiting."

  • Amazing cottage for Winter get away.

"Amazing cottage for winter get away. We went for a Blue Mountain Skiing weekend and this cottage is perfect. Very comfortable, pristinely clean, enough space for our party of eight, well equipped. No surprises."

  • Lovely spot for a girls weekend!

"We had a wonderful girls weekend at Cobblestone Farm. The farm house was very comfortable with separate beds for 6 of us (and there were more beds), beautiful common rooms, and two outdoor patios to enjoy the great weekend weather and the surrounding views of the countryside. The farm is close to both Cobourg and Port Hope so we enjoyed a bit of shopping as well. We had a very relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend it."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation Cottage with Lots to Do

"My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at the Blue Bird Cottage. It was very clean and roomy. The floors, windows, doors, front deck, etc. looked new. There was a large backyard that you could BBQ and then sit and enjoy your meal on the back patio. We used the net also located in the backyard to play badminton and a fire pit to use in the evening. We had a couple of bonfires! You could sit in the shade and read your favourite book, when we did. There was a couple of nights that were quite muggy and it was great to have AC to get a good night sleep. With cable TV, I could watch a couple of Blue Jays baseball games and my daughter could watch one of her favourite shows " Big Brother. It was great to have a full kitchen to cook our meals and there is a grocery store/meat store nearby to get deli meats or hamburgers. The cottage was about a 5 minute walk from the beach, which we used regularly and one day we rented kayak. Another day, we rented a paddleboat. The Surf Restaurant, also a 5 minute walk, is a great family restaurant with a large selection of food. My daughter and I had mussels and shrimp but you can get a lovely perch dinner. If you like a little history, my daughter and I went to Midland ( 10 to 15 minute drive) to see St. Marie Among the Huron. This is a historic site of where Catholic priests and first nation people lived in the 1640's. I am definitely thinking of returning to this cottage next summer and I will recommend it to my friends and family. This cottage and Balm Beach meet my expectations and more."
