  • Perfect for a Family

    "We spent 10 days in this apartment and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were travelling with our two young children (5 and 2) and the second bedroom in accommodated them perfectly. The king sized bed in the master was glorious and allowed lots of room for cuddling when the kids jumped in with us in the morning. The kitchen was fully equipped and the apartment is a very short distance from some great grocery stores. We have family located all over Ottawa (Orleans, downtown, Vanier) and this spot allowed us to easily visit all of them. We never met Lisa but she was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns and we enjoyed the autonomy that she provided us."

  • The property was great. There is a beautiful big yard and the river is great for swimming.

    "We really enjoyed our stay. They cottage was very cozy with plenty of games provided for those lazy or rainy days! This cottage was in the perfect location for day trips or just hanging out and relaxing. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Quiet waters is a a great place to stay for family and pets!"

  • This home definitely stands head & shoulders (and chest) above any other rental in the area...

    "Overall: 5/5 This home is amazing! It's just like the pics and videos, minus a little wear and tear, expected with any home that gets plenty of usage. From a fan the size of a helicopter blade, whole house music and power blinds, to an expresso maker, heated floors, and fully automated toilets - you won't be short on extras. WOW Factor: 5/5 My entire family was impressed. Even my teenage nephews were kept entertained (without an Xbox) by all the technology. Although we could not get any movies or tv to play during our stay (which was ok since we were there for a wedding not R&R), you can enjoy titles still at the box office in the basement theater. A saltwater tank, full of corals and fancy fish, was a nice touch of nature amid all the tech. My boys enjoyed feeding the fish daily. Everyone was wowed by the resort style bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the master bath, complete with multiple shower tiles that embrace you in water, programmable ambient lighting, and soaking tub that fills from the ceiling. Cleanliness: 4/5 We are very OCD when it comes to cleanliness. Upon arrival, we had to give the floors a once over with the steam mop and do a little dusting. This rating reflects on the cleaning crew, not the home itself. Amenities: 3/5 We were in CAN for a wedding and needed to press our formal wear. This home has everything, but we could not find the iron. It would be convenient if an iron or steamer were in most rooms. And although the home does come with extra towels, we would have loved to find newer, hotel style bath and face towel sets, in the linen closet. Also, for a true 'home away' feel, a television in each bedroom would of been a welcome feature. Customer Service: 6/5 The Owner, Bob, was wonderful! He was always available, before and during our trip, to help with anything we needed. Bob promptly met us at the house for a tour and to answer any questions. He went above and beyond to take care of my family's needs. Home Away: 1/5 The service received from Home Away was very robotic and unsatisfactory. An error prevented me from making my final payment, and they were unable resolve the issue, wasting countless hours. Several times during troubleshooting, the Rep stepped away from the phone without placing me on hold, while I was talking. I ultimately resolved the issue directly with the owner (at personal cost to him), which Home Away refused to reimburse. I highly recommend using another service like Airbnb or Trip Advisor."
