  • Comfort, Convenience, Cleanliness in Central Victoria with short walk to The Empress!

"My husband and I were looking for a romantic Victoria getaway and we are so pleased that we found the loft. Cleanliness and a great sleep are both paramount to us and it was obvious that this owner really cares. The linens, sheets and amenities are of the highest quality and there were little designer touches and art everywhere. The bed was super comfortable and I was particularly pleased with the great water pressure in the shower. The wifi connection was fabulous, and the designer couch in the sitting room was so comfy that a couple of nights we just lounged and stayed in. We rented bikes for our stay, but if you have a rental car, a car parking stall is included (not easy to find this in central Victoria!). The ceiling to floor windows open on to historical Waddington Alley which is foot traffic only, so you thankfully miss out on traffic noise. I really wanted to find a location near The Empress Hotel and this did not disappoint as it was a very short walk away. You enter through a locked gate in to a private courtyard where you can lock up your rental bikes and then you enter another locked door to the elevator which takes you up to The Loft. We spent quite a few sunsets sipping our wine and watching the boats entering the harbor on the private roof terrace just one floor up. We highly recommend this little Victoria gem. Book early though! If you are lucky enough to stay, try two of our favorite restaurants right in Waddington Alley around the corner: Terrazzo (phenomenal, romantic and super popular among the locals. You will need a booking) and Willie's for the best breakfast ever!"

  • Very spacious well equipped, comfortable, clean, centrally located property

"The house is enormous in size, very clean and comfortable with good quality furniture, bedrooms and bathrooms spread over three floors. It is centrally located within easy walking distance of the Eaton Centre and Art Museum. There is a Freshco supermarket within 300 yds of the property and other larger supermarkets a short car ride away, having a full range of products and providing free parking. We found Loblaws supermarket the easiest option for our diverse needs. Being so close to the centre of Toronto we found resteraunts plentyful that fit with our tastes and pocket. Parking on the street is ample and costs only $23 per week. Irina arranged this for me. The house does have a garage but this will only fit a small car.(mid size uk car) The house is fully equipped and more than adequate kitchen and dining room seating, cooking utensils and crockery for our party of 6 adults. On a number of occassions my son and his wife (local residents) joined us for meals and we did not feel cramped at all. The dishwasher made it easy to ensure washing up was always up to date with minimal effort. My wife particularly liked the washer and dryer. They were quick and efficient allowing her to avoid taking home lots of washing and freshening items during our stay. We had an excellent stay and were not disturbed or bothered in any way. Irina the owner is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to ensure you have a good stay. I would not hesitate to use the house again if we were visiting in numbers again. This was the view of all members of our party. I would also recommend it to other similar sized parties as you will have plenty of space to spread out or get together as required in very pleasant surroundings. Jeremy Lancaster"
