  • The property was great!

"About 15-20 minutes outside of the city so it's quiet enough to relax but also close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend for couples or small groups."

  • 5 Stars for price and location

"Kannan’s house in Cornell Park was a perfect place for us to attend a wedding in Markham. Five of us shared this 3 bedroom house for 4 nights. The location was convenient near Markham Main Street and Unionville Main Street where many restaurants and shopping can be found. It was also very close to the wedding venue at Abby Glen Golf Club. Most of the wedding attendees were staying at the Hilton in Markham which was 10 minutes away. Kannan was a delight to work with. Very responsive and helpful. He met us at the house and showed us where everything was located. The garage was behind the house and good size for two large sized cars. We had one big SUV and a large car so we parked one outside the garage. The house is as advertised with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. The furnishings are sparse with one pillow each, and one bath towel each. Few pictures on the walls and one small bedside lamp in only 2 of the bedrooms. Some of the light bulbs were burned out and we replaced them. The backyard and front porch could use a couple of outdoor chairs to make those areas useable. The TV has 999 channels, but getting a strong connection and finding the right channel was a challenge. The WiFi worked well for all of us. The house is relatively new and in excellent condition. I would recommend this place for a basic place to stay at a price much better than at a hotel. Plus Kannan is a huge plus with his fast replies and help."

  • Very impressed

"The Copper Penny House is very well maintained and quite clean. It is an older home that has been updated while keeping all the original charm and character. The furnishings were all very clean and comfortable. The Falls are walking distance but we chose to drive because we were walking all day. The Falls and attractions are just far enough away so that the traffic and noise is not a problem. The three bedrooms are all comfortable but the third is quite small. Good for one person. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities, although we did need to wash some of them before using. There are two full baths, one up and one downstairs. Both have been updated and are very adequate. Towels are supplied and are clean. The house was also very clean and the yard looks nice. We had some rain and being off season we kept to the house. There is a grill outdoors as well. Parking is on the side of the building and enough for two cars. Paul was very responsive to my many emails, not only while inquiring about renting but also while we were staying for our visit. The house was easy to access once Paul sent the combination. We would highly recommend both the house and Paul."
