  • Lovely fall stay in Thunder Cove, Darnley

"We stayed 4 days last week in this wonderful cozy yet spacious house in Thunder Cove. The layout and amenities were great--windows all around, nice washer and dryer, and lots of room in the kitchen and living area for 4 adults sharing cooking and hanging out activities. On our second day there, a substantial rain and windstorm blew in, and we lost power and water for a few hours. Chris was immediately available via text message and updated us with info from the power company and possible alternative lodging, but we huddled under blankets and read, and fortunately the outage didn't last too long. We then enjoyed watching a movie by accessing our online Netflix account (fortunately, one of our group was technologically savvy and knew how to do this, but this kind of information would be a helpful addition to the app). The app includes some helpful resources about the area, but surprisingly lacked info about grocery stores nearby--which would have been nice to have on our first night there. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely recommend this house!"

  • Amazing Beach House!!!!

"We spent an amazing week in South Rustico at this beach house. It felt like an oasis...high ceilings, big windows and lots of space (and spotless). The house is so tastefully decorated - something out of a decor magazine! We started our day looking at the ocean having our morning coffee and then wandered down to the beach which is five minute walk from the house. It was a great place to take the chairs and sit out, read and have a swim before heading out to the sights in the afternoon. The area was so quiet but then within a 10 minute drive we were at restaurants, galleries, deep sea fishing, and other beautiful beaches (but the one by the house was our favorite). We really enjoyed our fires on the beach at night and we were lucky with some outstanding sunsets. We are definitely coming back but next time we will stay longer. There is so much to do on the Island. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one."

  • Perfect cottage for families!

"We loved our stay at this cottage - it was just as lovely and perfect as pictured. We hope to rent it again the next time we plan a summer trip to PEI. The location was a quick 10 min drive to many tourist attractions but felt very peaceful and private. When we arrived we were surprised by all the gear in the shed (for tennis, golf, kite flying, sand toys, 2 kayaks, etc.) and in the house (movies, books, games, info on nearby sights / attractions). The cottage was clean, well maintained and a good size for two families to share. We rented the cottage primarily for our family of 4 however we had friends (a family of 5) stay with us for a couple of days mid-week and it never felt crowded or too small. Our stay was the last week before Labour day so the weather was great some days, rainy and/or too cool for the beach on others. However, the amenities provided with the cottage (and a very short walk across the road to access) meant that we were never bored: lots of ping pong, shuffleboard at the nearby rec center, tennis, golf, flying kites on the lawn facing New London Bay, digging for clams, kayaking. We were also able to enjoy the community pool, which was ideal for young kids who can't swim as easily at the beach with the waves. One of our favourite parts was the nightly campfires we could enjoy by edge of the lawn. Our kids still ask us when we are going back to "our cottage". The kitchen was well stocked but if you are bringing a baby or toddler, bring your own feeding (sippy cups, small utensils etc.) and sleeping supplies. We brought a pack n play for our toddler and there was enough room in any of the 3 bedrooms to set it up."
