  • Charming, picturesque, family vacation

"The Campbell's farmhouse was such a beautiful and picturesque home that we didn't want to leave! The photos hardly do justice to the wonderful view of the Stanley River and the surrounding property and gardens. The home itself provided all that we needed (4 adults, 4 small children) to cook, clean, grill (brand new!), and enjoy ourselves throughout the grounds. Our kids loved the hillside, fire pit, and play structure, not to mention all the rec equipment (loved flying the kites at the beach) stored in the large shed - the adults loved the hot outdoor shower! We took advantage of the shared dock down the road and often jumped in the river or took the kayaks out. Our delicious meals were mostly enjoyed outside on the wraparound deck (there is no formal dining inside the home). The Campbells were welcoming and prompt with communication. When we informed them of a wasp's nest underneath the porch steps, they took care of it the next day. We knew they would be accessible when needed but were never intrusive during our time at the house. This home is so close to all the attractions of Cavendish and provided the perfect base for our families to have a truly memorable vacation on the Island!"

  • A Perfect Place for Family Unions, Re-unions and general Get Togethers

"My partner and I decided to marry this August and to bring our respective families together for the first time. To extend this family time together we selected Cape Tryon House as our base for this family "union" for the two weeks following the wedding. We could not have chosen a better place for our needs for our five adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren. We found the house exceptionally well equipped with everything we would need from cooking and glassware and condiments for large group meals to several common spaces for visiting and playing games and relaxing. All situated on at least three acres of well maintained grounds where we enjoyed croquet, kite flying, and general running around during the day and "smores" and more by the fire pit in the evening. There was even satellite TV for the sports minded among us to follow the Rio Olympics. We had no issues at all but Dwight, the manager had introduced himself to us our first evening to make sure we knew we could contact him with any problems. The views from the decks on two levels, the easy access to the Yankee Hill beach and others, the toys and bicycles supplied all made our time at Cape Tyron very relaxing and enjoyable. Our children all live in western Canada and some had never been to PEI before. All of them left with fond memories and a true appreciation for the quiet and peaceful ways of this beautiful island and their stay at Cape Tryon House."

  • Great getaway for our family of 6

"Our first time on the island and this spot was perfect. A quaint little cottage with everything we needed. Out kids are 14 11 9 and 6 and they had a blast. We kyaked across the water, used the park pass provided, swam in the heated salt water pool, and enjoyed yoga on the deck. We loved north rustico as we went deep sea fishing, we're minutes from anne of green gables and close to charletown. The only thing we were missing were water shoes which I would recommend for the next person."

  • golf group from saskatoon sk.

"18 of us stayed here for our golf vacation. The house was way better than we thought it would be . Each room has bathroom, nice beds and big area to eat. All 18 of us could eat together and we all played games after a great day of golf. This hassle free place helped make this a great vacation. Anyone with a big group would love it . All the golf courses we played were great and lots of site seeing to do."
