  • Our new favorite place to be

"We just returned from our vacation on the island, and we are already talking about returning. This home was everything we hoped it would be. Though it is a "log cabin", it is hardly rustic. The house is impeccably kept and had all the amenities we could want from kitchen items to internet service. It was as good or better than the description and pictures in the site listing. The caretakers made our stay especially pleasant. They checked to make sure everything was in order, and then spoiled us with fresh quahogs and warm, buttered biscuits. A highlight of the trip for our 12 year old son was a ride on their boat, and helping unload the quahogs at the dock. We could easily explore French Acadian villages, Charlottetown, and all the beautiful island scenery from this cottage. But, our favorite activity was staying home and exploring the long stretch of beach that didn't have anyone else on it. The views from the cottage are endless in every direction, and not even rainy weather could spoil this. It was exciting to sit by the window, or step out onto the wrap around porch, and watch the white caps on the water as the storm churned out to sea. A place that is enjoyable, even in bad weather, is a rare find. Thank you, Joanne, for a perfect vacation. We hope to return some day."

  • Perfect!

"You can't go past this accommodation. It was everything we had hoped and more. Although a long way from the main towns, it was a perfect place to start and end our days of doing the touristy stuff. Cliff was wonderful answering all my questions honestly and thoroughly when I was trying to decide whether or not it was suitable for my family with 2 teenage girls. We made the decision to take it and were definitely not sorry we did. We've been travelling for some time and this was our absolute favourite. Very affordable as well-you just would not get a house like this closer to the attractions for this kind of price. We loved the kayaks and the fact that we had our own private river. Carolyn also looked after us in Cliff's absence, helping us out when we had a problem with the water-was quickly fixed. The only things missing for a family of 4 females was an iron and hair dryer, but we managed-crushed clothes and wet hair is fine when on vacation :) We so wished we could have stayed longer and were very sad to leave. Thank you!"

  • Family time, at it's best!!!

"Great place to spend your family vacation. The views are fantastic! When you look out the floor to ceiling windows, all you see is the blue water. No obstructions. Sunsets are absolutely the best!! Watching the sunset from your gigantic deck while enjoying your BBQ and beverages, doesn't get any better. Robin, the owner, is pleasure to deal with. Very informative and available. The chalet was very clean and comfortable. The living room has cathedral ceiling finished with pine. Very comfortable with lots of seating. The living room is open to the dining area and the kitchen, which is fully equipped. The water's edge is right in front. Great place for children . It has a very gradual tide. Kids can play for miles and comb the beach. Looking forward to more vacations at BLUE SEAS CHALET!!"
