  • best kept secret on pei!

"Our 3rd time here, and it just keeps getting better.!The best thing about this ad on vrbo is that the pictures you see are EXACTLY what is there. Quiet location, awesome views, fully appointed cottage, all the amenities you need. If it was for sale, we would probably buy it. Worth the trip from the prairies. Randy Steinbach Mb"

  • Beautiful location and lovely cottage

"Easily one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in, this cottage was absolutely lovely, comfortable and well equipped. It is well maintained, and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, one upstairs with its own bathroom, and another downstairs with a full bathroom across the hall. Perfect set-up for two couples. The bedrooms are a good size and there is ample storage space. Add comfortable sofas in the living room, one a pull out bed, and you have everything you need including a washer and dryer. Plenty of seating outside as well including a gazebo. The location cannot be beat; simply wonderful and relaxing. The cottage is on the beach with a short walk, or golf cart ride, down to the shore. When the tide is out you can walk for miles on the red sands, and its a child's delight to play in. When the tide is in there is still a sandy area that you and sit and watch the scenery. All the times we were on the beach we saw only one other person. We walked the beach down to the end of the point to the Chowder House which has wonderful food, just make a reservation if you want to stay for dinner. It is about 2 km up the road. There is also a nice art/craft gallery next door, and a good 9 hole golf course 10 minutes away. If you take the ferry, it is a quick 20-25 minutes drive from Wood Islands, so convenient. The only drawback was our time there was too short. We will be returning in the future. Loved it!"

  • Family Get together

"We had a great time reaquainting with other family on the island . We were able to keep our family of 8 and 2 children together without overcrowding . The aftermath of the tide going out kept the little ones amused in searching for treasures and the wind kept the adults busy with kite flying on days at the cottage . The spacious rooms ,kitchen and laundry facilities were a great asset .It offered a quiet time for all and the eclipse of the moon was sensational from our viewpoint with the telescope."

  • This is a beautiful, serene place. Stunning views of the Gulf, incredible red beach, lots of herons.

"The cottage is immaculate, nicely yet simply renovated with many comfortable and thoughtful touches. It is a truly serene, private spot with a view of the herons in the inlet right off the deck and a glorious beach all along Howe Bay for hiking, exploring and kayaking a stroll away from the end of the driveway. If you like tranquility and privacy off the beaten path, this is a wonderful place to spend some time rejuvenating with the world of exploring 20 minutes to an hour in any direction."
