  • Wonderful Restful and Quiet Stay

"This cottage was perfect! Walking distance to the beach, secluded and peaceful. We had the use of 2 kayaks and could paddle around the bay as well. You must have a car for the location. Souri is close by. It's about a 20 minute drive. Sally's Provincial Park is 5 minutes away. Great place to watch the tide pools! Highly recommend this vacation spot on wonderful PEI!"

  • Great location for a quiet visit to the peaceful island

"We recently returned from our week at the Sea Seekers: Bed by the Ocean. The house was exactly as described. The master bedroom had a comfie bed and a great island breeze, no need for the fan! Since we are a couple, we did not use the other 2 bedrooms. The owners provided bottled water which was a plus. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the deck barbecue was a great place to prepare the wonderful local seafood. The best part was the deck and the stairs to the beach. The owners provided 2 light weight Adirondack chairs which we used to sit right on the edge overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence where we enjoyed watching the fishing boats, birds, seals and sunsets. Great location for golf at Crowbush, Brudenell River and Dundarave--just a 50 minute drive. Have lunch on the upstairs deck at Crowbush and enjoy watching the golfers. A closer 9 hole course, the Rollo Bay 9 hole course, was a hoot and easy to walk for $25. Don't miss the hiking in the national park at Greenwich, Basin Head where the beach is awesome and the history lessons worth the time, buying mussels from Mussel King (a local grower) in Morrell, the fish market in St. Peters, and the lighthouse at East Point. If you can and it is tuna season go to North Lake and watch the fish being off loaded and processed at the dock. While you are there eat at Pirates Boathouse Cafe. The location is quiet and traffic minimal making it great for Star our Schnauzer. Charlottetown, Georgetown, Cavendish and Wood Islands are an easy hour drive away. Owners are responsive and great to deal with. This is a come back to place on a very special island."

  • Well-equipped, spacious rooms, quiet, comfortable, relaxing, nice view.

"We stayed for a week in August 2016. The cottage is very clean, with spacious rooms, 9-foot ceiling, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, wonderful view, great BBQ. Very quiet and relaxing cottage. The two bathrooms each have two locking doors, so they could be used as private ensuite bathrooms for the bedrooms if desired. Nice art on the walls, high-quality building construction, lovely screened porch where we often enjoyed a quiet cup of tea or coffee in the early morning. It has satellite TV but we only watched the Olympics on CBC so I don't know how many other channels are available. Lots of movies on DVD in the utility closet...probably 30 to 50. We had several iPads and smartphones, and the internet worked without any problems. Good cell phone coverage (we had Bell, Telus, Koodo and Rogers phones), plus there is a landline in the cottage. Having a dishwasher and clothes washer & dryer was a nice extra for a cottage. No air conditioning, but it was not needed when we were there and would very rarely be needed on PEI. I used the canoe several times. The lake is sheltered and calm most of the time, even on days when the ocean was choppy. We saw lots of birds in the area. I saw three eagles while canoeing on the lake. I was told by a local relative that the lake is great for trout fishing. It is only about a 5-minute drive to Lakeside beach by car. We walked a couple of times and it is about a 40-minute walk to the beach on a very-light-traffic secondary road. I also biked to the beach and while I didn't time it I would guess it took about 12 to 15 minutes. Lakeside beach is fabulous, and not crowded. Other reviewers have mentioned the many activities and amenities in the local area so I won't repeat them in my review. Owner was easy to contact by email, phone and text, and he was quick to respond. We did not have any problems with any aspect of the rental."

  • Beautiful Family Getaway

"We stayed at Oceanfront Haven for one week; 3 adults and 2 children. Once we arrived we were stunned by the breathtaking view of the beach and ocean on this lovely, private property. Entry to the cottage provided us with even more to be pleased with, as we found the interior to be spacious, well furnished, clean, comfortable, and to have views equal to those outside. The kids were kept in mind, with plenty of games, indoor and outdoor toys, and books available to occupy their time. The beach provided hours of fun, and the outdoor shower was a great welcome after a long stroll on the beach. We also spent time on the spacious deck that overlooks the ocean, often star gazing at night. We also visited many of the beaches, restaurants, and heritage sites that were recommended to us by the owners, which made our first time trip to PEI very special. The customer service provided was also great as we had locked our key in the cottage one day, but following a quick phone call were provided with cottage access and a spare key for the remainder of our time. This property and cottage are lovely!"
