  • Nice Vacation Home for a Family

"Just spent a week here with my dad, 2 daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter. House was clean and stocked with essentials so we didn't have to rush out to the store as soon as we got there. Beautiful location a short walk away from Murray Harbor where there is a good restaurant and small grocery store. Surrounding area very picturesque with beaches a short drive away. Owners are very friendly and responsive. House is equipped with anything you might need including wifi, cable, and phone. Decorations in house show thoughtfulness and creativity. The 2 year old loved the antique stove in the living room used to store games as did my 85 year old dad reminiscing of his mother using such a stove in the past . We would have enjoyed the wrap around deck more had there not been so many viscous mosquitoes that had no resistance to every bug spray we could try. The PEI natives told us that this is a particularly bad year for them. I've been to the island several times and do not recall mosquitoes being a problem. There is a huge grill on the deck and it cooks very well. I would stay here again and recommend the place to my friends and family."

  • Dream Location by the Sea on Point Prim, P.E.I.

"The Gray Lady is located on the peninsula known as Point Prim and it could not be closer to the Northumberland Strait unless it was in the tidal pool! We just could not get enough of the front and side decks of this magical place. We spent many early mornings having coffee on the deck watching the herons feeding, or the crows cackling - no other sounds except the gentle waves coming in - what a truly relaxing spot. The house itself was well-appointed and crispy clean, with ample room for the four of us. We delighted in separate washrooms (2) and the open kitchen/dining/living areas. Just 20 minutes outside of Charlottetown and easily accessible...and private. We also enjoyed its close proximity to the Point Prim Chowderhouse and spent many a meal time at the bohemian restaurant. Highly recommend to all."

  • Beautiful location and lovely cottage

"Easily one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in, this cottage was absolutely lovely, comfortable and well equipped. It is well maintained, and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, one upstairs with its own bathroom, and another downstairs with a full bathroom across the hall. Perfect set-up for two couples. The bedrooms are a good size and there is ample storage space. Add comfortable sofas in the living room, one a pull out bed, and you have everything you need including a washer and dryer. Plenty of seating outside as well including a gazebo. The location cannot be beat; simply wonderful and relaxing. The cottage is on the beach with a short walk, or golf cart ride, down to the shore. When the tide is out you can walk for miles on the red sands, and its a child's delight to play in. When the tide is in there is still a sandy area that you and sit and watch the scenery. All the times we were on the beach we saw only one other person. We walked the beach down to the end of the point to the Chowder House which has wonderful food, just make a reservation if you want to stay for dinner. It is about 2 km up the road. There is also a nice art/craft gallery next door, and a good 9 hole golf course 10 minutes away. If you take the ferry, it is a quick 20-25 minutes drive from Wood Islands, so convenient. The only drawback was our time there was too short. We will be returning in the future. Loved it!"

  • No ordinary place

"After reading all the reviews there really isn't much we can add. They simply state the truth about this place and the hosts. If you need a break from the rat race at home or some time to reconnect with the one you love, this truly is the place that can make that happen. Thank you Melody and Val for sharing your little piece of paradise."
