  • Family wedding

"Wonderful home. We travelled from three provinces to gather for a family wedding. Fresh muffins and stocked pantry and fridge to get us started was appreciated. So close to grocery store. Easy access to drive downtown to see the harbour and shops. Giant deck with BBQ and a fire pit in back yard. Flowers in the front and back yard to beautiful. Would stay again for sure"

  • Charm, Convenience, and Civility

"Where do you start after a summer of living in and at 6 Grafton St ? Let's start with Charm. A lovely old family home near the west end of Grafton. It is spacious, beautifully furnished, equipped with all the amenities of home, well-landscaped, spacious bathroom, excellent climate control, off-street parking, and a delightful deck. Convenience you ask !? Well here's a few suggestions : Need bikes and helmets ? Don's got them stored in the shed and ready for you. A morning walk in the park .... you are less than a leisurely 10 minute walk to the serenity of Victoria . Actually, other than the 5 to 10 minute drive to the Atlantic Super Store or Sobey's, you can access countless Charlottetown venues of all kinds within a 20 minute walk from "home". At 6 Grafton, you will be at the epicenter of residential convenience to downtown delight. Heather and Don will come running with a smile of their face if you need help with anything beyond your purvey. We just don't have enough space here to list all the things that you can do/visit to eat, drink, and be merry as each day unfolds around the magic that is Prince Edward Island . Whether you need rest, adventure, or both, you are in for a treat at 6 Grafton ! Last, but arguably, the most important - civility. I have never seen or experienced so many smiling faces and helpful countenance as my wife and I encountered in Charlottetown and all of PEI. Pedestrians rule the streets and motorists smile as they motion your right-of-way. Efficient servers and cheerful bartenders ! Helpful neighbors ! Patient and helpful shop keepers ! I think you get the idea. I hope this review helps you, and know that while it may seem a bit lengthy, it's only a synopsis of our recent 74 days at 6 GRAFTON STREET !"

  • Beautiful and very charming house

"When we saw the Black House on Home Away, we knew that it will be perfect for us. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children planning to stay 1 week in Charlottetown, PEI, in August. When we arrived and saw the house, it was ``WOW`` for everyone! The house was exactly like in the pictures, beautifully decorated and very clean. The rooms are spacious enough, very cozy, and there was plenty of sunlight in the house because of the big windows. We found everything we needed and the kitchen is very well equipped. We just wish to have a couple of towel hangers in the powder room. We particularly appreciated the special attentions from the owners when we arrived: there were 2 bottles of wine, jam and biscuits, grapes and cheese, bottles of water, milk and cream in the fridge. It was extras that we didn't expected! The house is so comfortable and relaxing that even on a rainy day, it was pleasant to just stay home. The house is very close to Downtown Charlottetown and to all the shops and supermarkets so it's perfect if you want to stay close to the city. You can walk to Downtown. We also appreciated very much to have the pass to National Parks that we could use. We had the chance to meet and talk to the owners, James and Steven. They are very nice. We had a great vacation in PEI and we are sure that the Black House made it more enjoyable. We surely recommend this house to our friends and family. We will for sure come back to PEI in the future and will definitely consider to stay again at the Black House."

  • Home away from home!

"My family and I had a wonderful stay in this home! The house is beautifully decorated and at the same time super comfortable and kid friendly. Plenty of room for everyone. The theater and kids play room was an extra bonus! The house is much nicer than pictures show. The kitchen is fantastic and well appointed. The location was perfect for us. Midway between the University and down town, as well as an easy bike ride or walk to Victoria Park. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Charlottetown!"
