  • Family Vacation 2016

"This vacation spot had ALMOST everything you'd need. Advertised was air conditioning. This happened to be a portable air conditioner that was not working, owner came and shimmied something in the back to make it run but it did not cool the room it was in let alone call it an air conditioned place. They said not needed as just open the windows and doors and breeze blows through. Not in August heat and humidity and a guest hot flashing. Not to mention at night with a light on, bugs just enter as they wish. NO AIR CONDITIONING in this house. FALSE ADVERTISING. Made them aware and they didn't respond. TV needed the owners assistance to make work. Several electronic things for the kids were missing either batteries or the games or wires to make them work, which was disappointing for them. Owners just said didn't know. It was a large house, good location and great for pets. Do not expect to be cooled off after a day in the sun and heat. A hotel advertising air conditioning would make sure it actually worked, especially when brought to their attention."

  • A Piece of Paradise!

"This was not our first time on Prince Edward Island but it was our first time at Summerhaven, and on that part of the Island. It was clean and comfortable, and exactly as described. Although our time was short we enjoyed amazing views, gorgeous sunsets and at low tide the most beautiful beach. If you are thinking about visiting the Island and looking for a place to relax and unwind, away from city life, you should consider staying here. You won't be disappointed. We weren't!"

  • Great spot with a terrific view

"We stayed here for a week in the summer of 2016. The home and property are beautiful. You can actually hear the waves crashing on the shore below. We ran out of propane for the BBQ and the owner had someone come in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend this spot to others for sure."

  • Great location for a quiet visit to the peaceful island

"We recently returned from our week at the Sea Seekers: Bed by the Ocean. The house was exactly as described. The master bedroom had a comfie bed and a great island breeze, no need for the fan! Since we are a couple, we did not use the other 2 bedrooms. The owners provided bottled water which was a plus. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the deck barbecue was a great place to prepare the wonderful local seafood. The best part was the deck and the stairs to the beach. The owners provided 2 light weight Adirondack chairs which we used to sit right on the edge overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence where we enjoyed watching the fishing boats, birds, seals and sunsets. Great location for golf at Crowbush, Brudenell River and Dundarave--just a 50 minute drive. Have lunch on the upstairs deck at Crowbush and enjoy watching the golfers. A closer 9 hole course, the Rollo Bay 9 hole course, was a hoot and easy to walk for $25. Don't miss the hiking in the national park at Greenwich, Basin Head where the beach is awesome and the history lessons worth the time, buying mussels from Mussel King (a local grower) in Morrell, the fish market in St. Peters, and the lighthouse at East Point. If you can and it is tuna season go to North Lake and watch the fish being off loaded and processed at the dock. While you are there eat at Pirates Boathouse Cafe. The location is quiet and traffic minimal making it great for Star our Schnauzer. Charlottetown, Georgetown, Cavendish and Wood Islands are an easy hour drive away. Owners are responsive and great to deal with. This is a come back to place on a very special island."
