  • Wonderful Home for Our Adult Family of Ten

"My siblings and spouses couldn't have chosen a better location and we just loved this beautiful Victorian. It was spacious and accommodated us well including the ample kitchen for our many eat in dinners. Having a full bath for each bedroom really sealed the choice for us. Also the one bedroom on ground level was perfect for my sister-in-law with MS. The original fireplaces in some of the bedrooms were amazing. We even enjoyed the horse & carriage tours that went by each day. We didn't realize how close we were to Victoria Park until we arrived and found it to be a stones throw away. Took advantage of its lovely boardwalk and ice cream stand. Highly recommend taking in the Lt. Governor's mansion and Beaconsfield House both just across the street. The bedroom on the third floor is stunning but we gave it to our youngest as that many stairs take stamina. Being close enough to walk downtown was a bonus and we enjoyed some of the unique shops. This home is as good as any five star hotel and you won't be disappointed. One of the outside steps needed a repair and management sent someone right out that day to fix it. We would highly recommend renting this gorgeous home!"

  • Great spot for big group

"Our group of 11 high school friends in our early 60’s spent a wonderful week at the Summer House. The place worked perfectly for our gang, with the bedrooms all including en-suite bathrooms. The living room was big enough that we could all sit and watch a ball game and the dining room had space for us to enjoy our seafood dinners at the table, and after clean up there was room to continue our euchre tournament every night. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of room for a bunch of cooks at the same time. The grounds provided a lovely view of the bay and the front lawn was big enough for bocce, frisbee, golf (chipping) and lots of other games. The house is equipped with lots of 'yard toys’. We saw the eagles sitting at the top of the pines and the foxes came by every afternoon to say hello. Centrally located and just a quick 20 minute drive into Charlottetown for groceries or dinner. Also close to some nice golf courses. This is a fun spot for a group of friends or a large family gathering. Laurie and Sandy were great to work with."

  • Amazing property

"Our family (three adults and three kids) stayed here for two weeks. This property went beyond our expectations. We look for a quiet and peaceful getaway and this was it. The property is very quiet and extremely private. The house itself is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is very convenient. Plenty of towels, sheets and blankets were provided and the laundry facilities work great for a family on the go. The BBQ is great quality and we cooked most of our meals on it, including lobster and mussels. We really appreciated plenty of outdoor seating and two different decks to choose from. The house gets a fantastic breeze off the water and has lots of windows to open - we never once felt too warm inside even though it was August. The view to the water never gets old, and we enjoyed afternoons on the deck and evening fires overlooking the water. We also took the canoe on the property around the bay a couple of times. And dug for quahogs during low tide. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful and attracts a lot of hummingbirds, we also saw several rabbits and one morning a fox was snoozing on the back lawn. The property is a quick 15 minute drive to Montague for groceries and restaurants, as well as other attractions like golf, boat tours and local artisans. Five minutes in the other direction to beautiful Panmure Island Beach, and the road was quiet enough my husband and I jogged most mornings to the provincial park and back. The beach also features a small cafe which we got ice cream from a couple of evenings and walked the beach. We also took in some theatre productions in nearby Georgetown and ate at Fireworks in Bay Fortune that is 40 minutes away (well worth the long waiting list). The owner was very helpful while planning our trip and while we were there as well. We've stayed at other areas around the island in the past but have agreed that this part of the island was the best location for the quiet, scenery, beaches and convenience to amenities."
