  • perfect, just perfect

"From a beautiful and large condo, to a great kitchen, to wonderful windows and views, to guidebooks in the condo, to ED!, this was a wonderful experience. The condo is very well placed, right on charming cobblestone streets and a 5-minute walk to the funicular up to the upper town. We had small children and the place was perfect - strangely elegant and kid proof at the same time. And Ed is wonderful. He had to put up with a LOT of emails and phone calls, but treated us with generosity and care. And he even had his daughter babysit one night! It was truly delightful and really made our trip to Quebec perfect."

  • A great apartment for visiting the city and hosting family and friends

"This was our second time at one of Etienne's apartments and we will certainly be back as we travel to Montreal frequently. Both Gallery 2 and 3 look the same although #2 has a very large deck which was useful for hosting a supper with my family and friends. The apartments are attractively decorated, well maintained and have a decent stock of kitchen tools and dishes. Important for us as we prefer to cook at home. Our queen bed was certainly comfortable and my teenage boys had no problem sleeping until the afternoon in the twin beds. I love the location; a quiet, family neighbourhood with a tennis court and a park nearby. A depanneur is on the corner when you need milk or other essentials at 10 pm. The Lachine canal where we enjoyed long walks and planned (but never did) a bike trip to the end of the Island is a few blocks away. It is a short walk to the Atwater market where we indulged in the wonderful bakeries and prepared food stores. There are certainly plenty of nice-looking restaurants close by but we rarely eat out when we visit my hometown. The closest metro station is a 10-minute walk away. I would never rent a car in the city given the perpetual construction and lack of free or low cost parking. If one thing could be improved, it would be the indoor entertainment in the form of books, games, jigsaw puzzles and television. The owners invite us to call them for videos which we did not do this time as we had little opportunity for evening viewing but the small selection at the condo was uninspiring; there are few interesting TV channels, no netflix on the TV and the CD player was not working. We had an ipad for watching some shows but it is small and we wished we had brought at least our small wifi speaker to listen to music without earphones. Some books about Montreal or a greater variety of magazines would have been appreciated. Thank you Etienne for providing a great pied à terre in Montreal."

  • Stayed for IM Mont Tremblant

"We rented the condo for 2 adults and our 2 teenaged girls for IM Mont Tremblant. It was good space for the four of us, and we were able to keep our bikes under the stairway just outside the door (unseen). Everything we needed was provided, and the condo was clean and well furnished. The washer and dryer came in handy as well. A nice back patio facing the pool was very relaxing. We had free access to the beach across the street w/ free paddle boarding, swimming and kayaking. Enough to keep the girls busy and happy! The condo is right across the street from the swim start of the Ironman-so easy access for practice. It's an easy 15 minute walk to pedestrian village where the expo, bike transition and finish line are located as well as restaurants, shopping, etc. This location is great if you want to be semi-away from the action, but not too far out. We highly recommend it. The hosts are very accessible and helped our trip go smoothly."
