  • idyllic retreat

"Dillon's island is indeed a special place...private yet convenient, cozy, comfortable and also thoughtfully laid out, with an amazingly well-provisioned kitchen. I kept thinking I would need something that wasn't there, but after a few minutes of looking, I always found it! We took full advantage of the wonders offered, including a half-day fishing with Ojibway guide Bully King. He was terrific and we caught 4 fish, which he cleaned and de-boned for us to enjoy later that night at dinner. We also hike up to Lake Topaz (lovely), kayaked around the bay, and had a pizza night, using the wood-buning oven on the island. The sleeping cabins were comfortable and roomy, and exploring the 4 acres was excellent fun for our dog. Thanks John, we hope to see you next summer!"

  • Ideal home base for exploring Nakusp area

"My husband and I stayed at the Studio Suite for a couple of days while on a tour exploring Nakusp and the Kootenay area. The suite was very quiet, right on the lake shore, and a short drive to the town centre and Nakusp Hot Spring. Marylin and Brian had provided everything we might need; the suite is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There is even a slow cooker! I got fresh organic vegetables from the farm market, loaded them into the slow cooker and voila, there's a hot delicious meal ready when we came back from a day of exploring the area and soaking in the hot spring! Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely be back to Serenity Views Studio Suite."

  • Great stay at the Toby Creek apartment

"Wonderful place equipped with everything one could think of - entertainment (movies, games, books), kitchen (toaster, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, spices, flour, etc...), bath (luxury towels, shampoo, conditioner). The apartment was clean, the views are stunning, we got lucky with the weather as well - skiing was great. The location is excellent - gondola is steps away, general store, hot tub, pizza place - all in the same building, you never need to go outside once you get to the apartment after a day of skiing. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year. The only downside on our stay was the bed - too soft for my liking but I'm used to super firm mattress at home."
