  • A Perfect Stay!

"I reserved Tranquil Tides as a birthday surprise for my husband. I invited two other couples to join us. All of us had an amazing time! You can not beat the view of the ocean from the guest rooms, living and outdoor areas. The layout of the property both inside and out was well thought out and magnificently executed. The furnishings throughout were ultra comfortable. Each couple had our own private, relaxing space without being on top of each other. The out door showers on the upper level bedrooms were amazing. The bedrooms were all relaxing and nicely furnished to include those on the lower level. The main living area, the small gym, gourmet kitchen, out door pool, hot tub and patio was simply perfect! Every day, we opened all the doors and enjoyed the nice breeze on the lower and upper level. We spent tons of time out by the spectacular pool and hot tub socializing and relaxing- it was such a treat! Admittedly, we blasted our music while outside swimming, because no one could hear us! We prepared breakfast each morning and a full family style meal one night. The kitchen was ultra equipped with upscale appliances and other great stuff (like pots, pans, utensils, plates, stem ware, etc.). We ate out most of the time at the great area restaurants (Straw Hat-need advance reservation, Coba-need advance reservation, Maderiaman's ( close by the villa- great drinks, tasty food, nice people), Gwen's reggae bar and grill -within walking distance of the villa with yummy food, refreshing drinks, great atmosphere and people-Gwen is awesome..Good food and fun! ). For most guests, it was their first time in Anguilla. Tranquil Tides was in the center of our fantastic vacation. The property is centrally located on the island, very private and perfect for even the pickiest travelers. We are a seasoned world travelled group-If I could give Tranquil Tides 10 stars I would! Connie was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. I thank her for sharing her family's wonderful home with us. Everyone said it was the most relaxing vacation-We did not want to leave and will certainly stay again!"

  • Fantastic!

"Arriving in Anguilla is fabulous but having a wonderful place to stay that's affordable and has so many comforts of home is fantastic. The island is exclusive and full of the glitterati. Peritwinkle is a perfect place for those who want to live th high life but still want to relax and have the comforts of home. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Between excellent and admirable

"There is much to enjoy at Serenata, and much to admire. Fist the location: above Island Harbour in a completely serene site. No other view from the terrace than trees in the garden and the native vegetation beyond that, then the ocean: no other noise than the distant rollers on the reef, the rustling palms in the (sometimes strong) wind, and the turtle doves that wake you in the morning. The neighbours to the west were never there during our month's stay, and those to the east were scrupulously quiet. You will grow to admire the layout of Serenata, the well-kept colourful garden that Wilson keeps watered. I particularly recommend a good look at the dry stone wall that encloses it, artfully done in the local manner of two-tone stones . One of the best in the island. The inside is quite spare, almost ascetic in its immaculate white, built to catch and keep the light. The floor of the great room is white tile, and some original art (not too much; you will long remember the depiction of a children's model sailboat race by Wemes that greets you on the left-hand wall; see if you can find the original of the houses that she grouped above the children) takes advantage of those white walls. The living room furniture is rattan, comfortable and complete, down to the stand alone glass top dining table. One small table and a desk, three armchairs: no other furniture. Complete, but nothing superfluous. Then there is the gallery/verandah. 60 feet of arches open to the North and to the inspection of birds in search of your breakfast crumbs (feeding them is probably a mistake, and expose all that lovely white paint to regrettable accidents). The floor is the same tile as the inside: extreme caution after rain: it becomes very slippery, and running toddlers risk serious injury. But you will not find a more serene spot than one of the four lounge chairs. The property's maintenance is excellent. There is not one flaw in the vast amount of screening necessary for the enormous amount of windows (bay windows and windows along the entire gallery). There was not a mark on any of the walls, any of the off-white counters. For places like Serenata, my wife and I are thankful. The owners (Maddeline and Rocco are a phone call away (even in the middle of the night when, left in a completely dark island by a power interruption, we had to ask where the flashlight was), and prompt to answer questions and fix problems. They were careful not to intrude,, but very helpful nonetheless."

  • Absolutely Wonderful!!!

"We loved our stay at Fletch's Cove and would do it again in a heartbeat. From the moment we made our reservation, Carol paid attention to every detail to ensure that our stay at her great place was perfect and it was. Everything was set up for us, from the cab driver at the ferry dock, the first day provisions in the refrigerator to our rental car arranged for and delivered in the driveway, so all we had to do is kick back, enjoy and plan our time on this great island. The pictures do not do the villa justice. It is a great location with views from every room and total privacy. The yard is well groomed and maintained, the pool is warm and wonderful and all of the furniture homey and comfortable. The kitchen has everything that you need. I cannot stress enough the effort that was made by Carol to make our stay at Fletch's Cove a great one. Oh and her girl Temeka who greeted us at the Villa and showed us everything to us and Cecile who cleaned the place for us..both top notch people. We highly recommend this place for your trip to Anguilla!!"
