  • Lovely villa in beautiful Antigua!!

"Villa is located in a private secure harbour. Villa was clean and stocked with all the essentials. Kitchen utensils, towels, extra blankets & pillows were all provided. We had everything we needed for our two week stay. A bottle of wine, water, juice, milk, and cookies were waiting for us upon arrival. Grill was exceptionally clean. I would caution against putting clothes in the washing machine. I think it has been used so often for towels it left fuzz balls all over all our clothes. The management company went above & beyond to help us with any questions or issues we had. City water was shut off while we were there (completely beyond the managements control) they were prompt in informing us & switching to the cistern system. Several days later, I called concerned with how much water was available to us and they stopped within an hour WITH a water truck, checked the level & topped it for us to be safe. The view from balconies is nice, you look across the harbour water rather than at another villa. Short walk to private north beach which is a shell seakers dream!! There were times we had the entire beach to ourselves!! I would recommend renting a cart or a car for trips to the store, south beach, and various restaurants in the harbour area. Highly recommend Miracles for lobster (macaroni pie is a must try side!!) & Basilico for authentic Italian! Antigua is a beautiful, safe island! This was our second trip to the island & we look forward to returning next year!! Thank you Joseph for sharing your beautiful villa with us! And thank you to the management team for their prompt & courteous assistance during our stay!! ;)"

  • Great location for the beach, bars , buses and shopping

"This villa is in a great location with easy access to all facilities in Jolly Harbour. No real need for a golf cart as you can walk everywhere . Castaways is a wonderful beach bar , good food, drinks and of course your beach loungers are free ( just pay for the umbrella, see Mervyn) The villa itself is well furnished with good beds , a really nice new deck. It certainly makes for a comfortable base for your stay . There may be times when there will be insufficient glasses, plates etc however HBK are very good at responding to little or big problems. The staff were excellent , very friendly , nothing was too much bother. It was nice having the villa cleaned twice weekly during our two week stay. .Epicures supermarket is just 10 minutes away and serves everything you will need at a pretty reasonable price. For UK people it also sells Waitrose essential branded goods. We had a really good holiday in Antigua , staying in such a nice Villa certainly made a big difference. I can highly recommend this one."

  • A fantastic home to enjoy your Antigua Holiday. 10/10

"We visited the Sweet House for two weeks in February 2017 (Two people). We booked fairly late and the Canadian owner Benedicte couldn’t have been nicer or more efficient. All enquiries were answered promptly and we were supplied with lots of info prior to arrival along with detailed directions from the airport which were totally essential. The Manager Rhea met us at the property and offered a great welcome. She continued to be of assistance during our stay and was a great source of advice. The house couldn’t have been better and we had a brilliant stay! The situation is fantastic. Quiet, away from the road yet within 100 metres of Miracles Restaurant and the Supermarket at Jolly Harbour. With further restaurants in Jolly Harbour itself you are spoilt for choice. You are within a 10-15 minute walk to Jolly Harbour beach. This was one of the busiest beaches we went to with lots of beach sellers and stalls. There are nicer and quieter beaches at Church Bay, Coco Beach, Ffryes Beach and Darkwood Beach within a 3 minute drive. The house is one of a development of five properties each with their own private gardens. Sweet House is in the best position backing onto greenery and the rear veranda, deck and pool are very private. The veranda is screened with netting so you can sit out in the evening but bring some insect spray and mozzie candles just in case. The interior is just as nice as the photos offering clean spacious living areas and bedrooms with comfy beds and two stylish bathrooms. The windows are screened and shuttered and allowed a cross breeze but air con is available for those who want it a little cooler. The kitchen is well equipped apart from a kettle and microwave. Voltage is mainly 110V but there is a 220/240 adaptor powering the fridge. The wireless broadband was fast enough for two people to stream Netflix and phone reception on the island was generally very good. The owners kindly left a mobile phone for us to use during our stay for local calls. The pool was big enough to cool off in the afternoon and the house, garden and pool were all kept immaculate by the staff. I would highly recommend the house to anybody wanting to visit Antigua. You couldn’t be in a better position on the island without spending a lot more money. Many thanks to Benedicte, Rhea and staff."

  • Cactus was absolutely top quality.

"We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the most fabulous house in a breath taking position in Antigua. We booked Cactus on a friends recommendation to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary with family and it really is the best place we have ever stayed in. The property is very new and consequently in beautifully clean condition and really excellently appointed with everything we could ever need, however one thing you can't buy is the stunning position and view, it really is special. The owner who is a true English 'gent' asked us for an honest opinion of his house good and bad...well the plug stuck once in our ensuite and it rained one morning! that was the only criticism, thank you Roger and staff for a wonderful time."
