  • Beautiful island, beautiful villa.

"Our family spent a week at Tamarind Hills and enjoyed every minute. The villa is just as good as it looks in the photos, it is very comfortable and well equipped and a great place to relax. Restaurants and supermarket are a short car journey away. The villa faces west which means you enjoy a fabulous view of Montserrat and the setting sun. Gill was extremely helpful with advice and guidance, it being our first visit to Antigua. It won't be our last! Highly recommended."

  • Family holiday over New Year

"This is a lovely spacious well appointed villa. We were a family group of 8 adults and found there was plenty of space, seating, kitchen equipment and outdoor furniture. Good sized swimming pool. Reasonably close, approx 10 minutes walk, to large supermarket, restaurants and a further 5 minutes walk on to the beautiful beach, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and partying at the local bar, Castaways. The management team were easy to get in touch with, approachable and charming. Would highly recommend this villa. The owner was most helpful in answering various questions before we started the holiday. We rented cars for 4 days from Sunny Rentals who delivered them to the villa and were very efficient."

  • Island beauty and a wealth of information

"Beautiful and affordable places to stay in the Caribbean, including Antigua, are in relatively good supply but our holiday at ReefView Apartments was special. What made it so was contact with our extraordinary hosts, Karoll and Nick. They love the island, they live on it permanently and they know it well. All of that adds up to something that money cannot buy - interesting information about the island and insider advice on what to do, when and where. We stayed in the Seaview Garden Apartment, one of three on the property. Karoll met us at the airport and made us feel welcome. She then took us to a good supermarket to stock up on food, wine and magnificent local rum - the sipping kind. On our first night we joined her and Nick for a delicious barbeque on their lovely verandah. The next morning, we took delivery of a hire car from a local firm, efficiently arranged by Karoll. Karoll's knowledge of the island is encyclopedic! All of the beaches, restaurants and outings that she suggested were great! We particularly loved walking to Chappies, a small, locally owned and run restaurant at the nearby marina. We ate one of the best, freshest fish meals there that I've ever tasted! And I think it's important to note that not only was Karoll able to tell us where to go and when, but she was also able to tell us when not to go to places, especially if we wanted to avoid hordes of people on the days that the island is visited by cruise ships. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well- decorated and the kitchen has everything you could need. The surrounding garden, one of Karoll's many hobbies, is a piece of paradise - lush and filled with gorgeous flowers that encourage birds to visit. Also exceptional was the number and variety of books and puzzles available for us in the apartment. We were able to read about the island's fascinating history, the reefs and sea life, the forests, fauna and flora. That contributed greatly to our overall enjoyment. The property is situated within a few minutes' walk of a small beach, which is a great place to wade in the water, especially in the early mornings when everything is fresh and new. We saw an array of birds, fish and even a small turtle. And we loved the place at sunset, too. It was tranquil and most of the time we were the only people there. ReefView is an amazing place to stay on a gorgeous island and the addition of charming, informative and amenable hosts made our experience perfect. Thank you Karoll and Nick."

  • A superbly positioned property close to all the best of the west coast.

"The house is well furnished with comfortable beds and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you would require (the best set of kitchen knives I have ever seen in a rental!!). Internet is very fast - impressive. Jolly Harbour is ideally located for six of the best beaches on the island, all within fifteen minutes drive and all served by excellent locally owned beach bar restaurants. A perfect day? After breakfast on the sunny terrace, a day on one of the local beaches enjoying the sun and the frequent dips in the sea, followed by lobster, coconut shrimp or even an excellent burger and fries at the bar restaurant with a few beers and a bottle of reasonably priced wine. Then back home via the supermarket to pick up some local produce to chuck on the barbecue back at the villa with more wine and then followed by a coconut rum on ice. What more could you want. We will be back next year (we hope). Thank you, Clare and Joe for your hospitality and welcome."
