"Along with my best friend we returned to the Sugar Shack for a couple of weeks of chilling out.  Perfect for walking to a beautiful beach, with bars and restaurants close by.  Easy access to all parts of the island. Ilse and Bill again were brilliant with their welcome and knowledge of the island. Have returned home ready to face Christmas !"

  • A fabulous property in Antigua, Amanda Neal terrific Host/Owner

"My wife and two boys 12 and 15 stayed at Villa Azura for a week in the off season, (June 2016). This property is positioned north on a peninsula tip facing Long Bay. This is the windward side of the island and there is a constant breeze from the East. This differs greatly from the leeward side of the island which we dont like. The wind and the constant crashing of the waves is comfortable and soothing. The view is unobstructed ocean with waves. The home is fabulous. Adobe design, simple, and well laid out. It is well maintained and we had no maintenance troubles. There is a gardener/handyman to help with any problem if it were to arise and when there was a storm with a power outage, he phoned to make sure the generator had started properly. It had and I didn't even know the power had gone out! Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom with a really cool private outdoor garden shower. Each bedroom has perfect ocean views. We spent most of our time on the deck surrounding the pool. There is a covered patio portion with seating and a usual uncovered pool deck with loungers. The dining area is outdoors in the covered patio portion facing a manicured and landscaped garden that is beautiful. The house is not airconditioned but the beds are. My pet peeve in the caribbean is cool dry sleeping after a long hot wet and sticky day. I was unfamiliar with these beds prior to our trip but they work great. They allow you to have a cool air conditioned breeze on you while having all the doors and windows open to the sounds. The breeze through the open house during the day kept it unusually cool and comfortable, no need for anything else. The housekeeper Mitzie came daily to tidy up, make the beds and washed and folded our daily laundry. She was terrific. One highlight our luxurious living at Azura was having Norma take care of our food needs. She works at a local Private Club (mill reef club) usually but was able to take care of us as well in the off season. She provisioned the house prior to our arrival. She came around 7:30AM, cooked breakfast, cleaned up, discussed dinner plans and menu choices then returned at 6:30PM to cook, serve and clean up. Fare was usual caribbean, seafood, chicken, and local. My wife's menu was vegetarian and perfect for her. Activities: Indigo Divers, Cool Cat for private day sail, snorkel and lunch, Antigua rainforest zip line. Car rental a must: TiTi in english harbor has good vehicles. Overall spectacular stay"

  • Fantastic Antigua!

"We, a family of 5, visited Antigua for the first time in March of 2016 and stayed at Karoll and Nick's charming cottage. Right from the beginning we felt at home and received a warm welcome. After we settled down Karoll gave us a flavor of the Island and what we could do. Practical tips about supermarkets, beaches, sightseeing, were absolutely brilliant and spot on. We also hired a rental car for the week which made everything very accessible. With the warm breeze, beautiful garden, flowers and animals we started to wind down quickly. Snorkeling, bbqing, the beautiful beaches like half moon bay and ffreyers beach, Henrietta's breakfast and lunch!!, eating local and simple (but Good!) at Chappies, to high end dining at Sheer Rock with its spectacular views, it was all simply wonderful. A must do is the snorkeling boat tour with lobster lunch. A full day on the water for a reasonable price with excellent service became a priceless day! I guess the best thing of the holiday was that you really get the feeling of going local. Not the busy and pushy environments of resorts, but really experiencing a week without the hassle, and real opportunity to meet real people was great. Can highly recommend staying at Nick & Karoll's and if time permits, we will be back next year!"

  • A great time at the Villas

"Stayed in July 2016 During Carnival. I had an amazing time. Most of the time wasn't spent in the villa. While there though it was nice, you'll need a car or golf cart to get around though. The villa it self is nice and roomy. The patio was the best feature. There's a grocery store on the premises, quite a few restaurants. Two beaches although I only went to the south beach most of the time which was amazing. Then there's a nice restaurant on the beach. You will not be disappointed with this villa. Just know if you plan on adventuring out, you will need a car. If you just want nice beach fun. This is the place to be. Thanks to Elton and Ash for emails back and forth and continuous updates as time neared."
