  • Everything and more.....!

"This villa is more wonderful than the pictures, a real home from home and extremely comfortable. From the moment we landed and were greeted by Mary's Taxi's, recommended by Dominc and Tracy the villa owner's, I knew that we had made a good choice. On arrival at Jolly Harbour and the villa, Veronica met us with the keys and showed us around the villa. It is immaculate, with everything that you could possibly need. We quickly changed into shorts an T shirts, had a walk to the supermarket and within 1/2 an hour were back on the deck enjoying a cold wine/beer, the heat and the view. All of the information that you need about the villa and surrounding area is provided by Dominc and Tracy. My husband was diving every other day and it was 2 mins walk for me straight to the beach from the villa on his dive days. We had some wonderful evenings on the deck, having cooked dinner ourselves after a hard day on the beach, catamaran, yatcht or diving. It was a truely lovely holiday made all the more special because of the villa - we will certainly be returning and would have no heistation in recommending!"

  • A lovely relaxing stay overlooking the ocean!

"We are just back from a relaxing stay at Willoughby in the Antiguan sunshine. The house is in a perfect location overlooking the ocean, and is a short drive to some lovely restaurants and beaches. Our favourite beach was half moon beach and our favourite restaurant Cloggy's in Falmouth harbour. My son, Josh, loved swimming in the pool, and his mum & dad loved having sundowners on the deck! Thank you to Rolston & Jean for arranging everything so well and letting us enjoy their lovely house. Rachel, Neil & Josh Targett"

  • Lovely spacious apartment

"We loved Antigua and the apartment was great, high ceilings, big spacious rooms, ceiling fans and lovely and cool. There is Aircon but we don't use that so we didn't try it out. The area was great for us, close to Jabberwock Beach, where we wanted to be. It is not amongst other holiday rentals, all local's bungalows around it, which was lovely for us as that is what we like but it was a bit worrying when we first drove down there as one of the neighbours has, what looks like, a car breaking business. The road is potholed and looks a bit run down but that's just first impressions. All the roads in Antigua are potholed! This is not a hotel room, so the fixtures are lived in, we had our fair share of power cuts and although the locals are very quiet (they start work very early out there so no noise after about 9pm) there are 4 or 5 dogs tethered in a local garden which barked a lot, mostly out of pure boredom I imagine, and the other locals seemed to have outside dogs too, which they are obviously used to the barking as no attempt is made to shut them up, plus lots of cockerels crowing at all hours (we loved the cockerels, amazing to wake to). Linden was great, he was on site most days and so answered any questions and recommended places to go. The Antiguan people are mega friendly, they love talking to you, are helpful and smiley but in a sincere way. You do get some hawkers on the hotel beaches but they are happy polite people, some of whom are just as happy to chat for a few minutes if you don't want to look at their items for sale. The food out there is very expensive, everything is imported and the cost passed to the supermarkets and so the shoppers. So be prepared to be shocked, £7 for 6 apples, £8 for a shop pizza. Chicken is cheap so we ate lots of that! I would recommend this apartment, the balcony at the back was used all the time. It is a great place to stay but only if you are prepared to live amongst the locals. Supermarkets are not far, but you will need a car for the holiday. There are little buses everywhere but we didn't look into that. We explored, pretty much every beach you can get to in a hire car (some roads are a bit too rough). Stingray City was brilliant and worth the money, but find out when the cruise ships are not in and plan your trips to that and Shirley Heights on no ship days to avoid hundreds of coach trippers joining you."

  • Wonderful, as always

"This was our fourth visit to Stoneyhill, and yet again it was perfect. Karol and Merve continue to be fantastic hosts, never intrusive but there if you need them. Cannot wait to return."
