  • Home away from home!

"The place was amazing, it's exactly what the pictures look like. And Luisa, the owner was awesome. We were greeted with a fruit basket, bottle of wine, and chocolates. The place was beautifully decorated, very clean, and well maintained. She even had beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels to take to the beach. It's also very easy to get to from the airport, about a 10 minute drive. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend, relative or anybody. I can't wait to go back, I miss it already."

  • Relaxing Vacation!

"Thank you Mike and Lois for a wonderful vacation. It was so nice to be picked up by your Property Manager, Juan and not to have to worry with directions getting right off the plane. Juan took us to get our rental car and then took us to the cottage where he showed us around and we met Mike and Lois who are there for the winter. The cottage is in the backyard, but you have a separate entrance and share the pool and yard with the main house. It is a very quiet neighbourhood and very safe. We rented a car and found it very easy to get around, however the street signs are very few and poor and we had to use our navigational skills a few times. We loved BBQing in the evening in the backyard most nights instead of going out to the restaurants and there are a few close grocery stores if you dont have a car. The snorkelling across the road we found by far probably the best, but there are many beaches to investigate on the island. We even went scuba diving with Michael! Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday! Tracy & Henry, London, ON Canada."

  • Great location!

"This property is beautiful! Loved that we were removed from the tourist areas of the high rise hotels, but could visit easily with a short drive. The beach access was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the clean pool, kayaks, and paddle boats. We had everything we needed and the owner was excellent to work with. Truly a laid back relaxing vacation. We'd definitely rent this property again!!!"

  • A Wonderful Vacation House

"Our group of 14 friends (ages 47 - 66) had a great time during our stay. There are four bedrooms upstairs which require going up and down a lot of stairs, however, there are three bedrooms downstairs for those that would have an issue with that. The bedrooms are much larger than they appear in the website pictures and each bedroom has a private bathroom. We rearranged the furniture in our bedroom to prevent the air from the ac unit blowing directly on our heads while sleeping. Ten out of fourteen of us thought the mattress was too hard. I doubled up my comforter and slept on top of that which made it comfortable. There is also a half bath in the foyer and a full bath in the pool area. There are more stairs out the back door to get to the pool, however, you could go out the front door and walk around the side of the house to access pool without having to do stairs. All the stairs in and out of the house blend in together, so you must use caution. A nice addition would be to have a strip of black tape marking the edges of the stairs. The pool in amazing, a nice shallow area to sit and cool off while talking or a deep end to swim around in. There were ample lounge chairs around the pool. The house blocked the sun in the afternoon which shaded the shallow end of the pool. We stayed in a few nights and used the gas grill to cook hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken. There is a large table poolside to eat at, some citronella candles would be a nice addition for the misquitos. There is a refrigerator in the outdoor bar / pool area we used to store our water, wine and beer. The living room only has one couch, however the bar stools and the dining room table provide enough seating for everyone. A nice addition would be a second coffee pot, more spoons and bowls. We rented two 7 passenger vans which worked well, about a twenty minute drive to Oranjestad, Eagle beach, Arashi beach. If you go out the front door and walk to the right, there is a great beach close by called Mangel Halto. We took some beach chairs from the house and put under the shady huts, great day snorkeling there but you must have your own equipment. Pack snacks and drinks, no vendors. We would recommend this house. Edward answered all questions promptly prior to the trip and Frank the care taker answered all questions promptly during our trip. One of my friends mentioned she liked to ride bikes, and Frank provided us with four bikes. We hope to be able to return one day."
