  • Rum Point Retreat

"Our family of four from Boston ( two adults & two teens) arrived at the condo for some relaxation after spending a fun but hectic week on seven mile beach. The condo was perfect, lots of space and well equipped. The view of the beach from the screened in porch was lovely. It was great being right next door to the public Rum Point beach with snack bar, restaurant, shop, and watersports, but still having our own private, quiet beach to ourselves. It was like being in a resort but with our own space, and much better value. To be so close to the beach, with so many amenities, and still feel secluded is very rare. We enjoyed snorkeling from the beach (saw Sting Rays, Lion fish, Barracuda, Cuttlefish and many more) trip to Sting Ray City with Red Sail Sports (go late in the day when no cruise ships are in), sunset at Starfish Point, and the nearby caves tour (fantastic stalactites and stalagmites). Eating out options are fairly limited if you don't want to drive so stock up on groceries before coming. There is a small supermarket about 10 minutes away for basics). This is the perfect location to rest and unwind after spending time on the other side of the island. Thanks for a great stay."

  • Great Place for Couples or Families

"My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this house in June 2016, and we would ABSOLUTELY go back! The grounds are beautiful and make you feel very secluded. It is in a very quiet section of the island, but it is very close to Hope Town, a convenience store, and several restaurants. You will practically have the beach in front of the house to yourselves, and having "On Da Beach" next door was much more of an amenity than an issue - nice to have good, relatively inexpensive (for the Bahamas) food and drinks right next door, plus they close down around 7 p.m.! You can't beat having breakfast overlooking the ocean and sitting on the back deck at night to see a million stars! The main house is divided into LR/DR/K/MBR in larger unit, with a double bed and single bed plus bath unit across the breezeway. Small cottage on the grounds sleeps at least 2 more. It was just the two of us on this visit, but we could easily see bringing the whole family plus a couple of friends, and everyone would be quite comfortable and have some private space. The owner and property managers were excellent and very responsive. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

  • Great Trip and Villa

"We loved Raisiniers and enjoyed speaking with Christian. Our trip was fantastic and the villa, pool, deck and beach were all incredible. We practically had the beach to ourselves. What we discovered toward the end of our week is that $100 lunches and $200 dinners everyday aren't necessary. The Petite bakery had incredible sandwiches for 5 euros along with awesome pizzas and other treats. The fish market had incredible mahi and snapper that was easily grilled at the villa and the groceries were very affordable. Of course La Langouste, Cheval, Eden Rock and the like were great but the perfect cap to our week was delicious delivery sushi on the deck overlooking the water and the mountains. Wish we would have know about them earlier but no regrets whatsoever. We cannot wait to return."
