  • Halcyon House Highlight of Trip

"Our family traveled to Halcyon House for one week The owners were great to work with, very informative, and recommended everything from taxi driver (ask for Jeff) to boat rental company (we used Rainbow)to places to see and dine. Halcyon is located convenient to a long public dock on the south west ide of Lubbers. The large wrap around decks offer plenty of space with stunning views of the Abacos facing west so Sunsets are a must. We grilled with the most beautful sunset over the water. There are two outdoor showers, one offering privacy. The home has a wonderful open floor plan and the windows maximize the western view. The kitchen was well equipped. Spices and utensils. Fridge with ice maker. Disposall. Two well appointed bedrooms upstairs with one and 1/2 baths. One bedroom down with full bath. TV with surround sound and many DVDs. Linens were good. The house is beautiful and come home for the sunsets, but there is so much to do here. Renting a boat is a must. Our family enjoyed: Dining at Abacos Inn. We went so many times that we left a big stack of cups at the house. It has a beautiful view of both the Abacos Sea and the Atlantic. The grouper fingers are to die for.abacoinn.com/ Snorkeling at Pelican Cay Land and Marine Park.bnt.bs/_m1731/The-National-Parks-of-The-Bahamas/Pelican-Cays-Land-and-Sea-Park. If you go here watch the tides. Try and go at a slack tide if possible. And while you are that far south, be sure to visit Little Harbor and Pete's Pub. The mango grouper was great. We snorkeled at Mermaid Reef near to Marsh Harbor, on the Lubbers barge and also up the north end of Guana Cay. We ate at Cracker P's and Lubbers Landing (Island Burger). We also went to harbor side in Hope Town for good food. Tilloo Pond-to see turtles but these turtles are very skittish. To navigate around, we suggest this app that helps your follow the channels without cell service (GPS) islandcompassbahamas. • Great property and fantastic caretakers

"Chip and Jackie looked great after us. The property is in a fantastic location in a great surrounding. The house is very specious with an open concept kitchen/living and the screened in porch is where we spent our time at home. It is well air conditioned to any comfort level. The islands character is well reflected in this house and it won't be our last time visiting here. We went snorkeling every day on the Caribbean and Atlantic side. Everything is very close and there are two great bikes to use for shopping or just getting around. No need to rent a cart! There is a great new restaurant next door, Dive Guana is right close as well as the grocery and liquor store. Nippers is just around the corner as well. This was our fourth visit to the island and this is the best property we have been so far. Thank you Chip for having us, we'll be back!!"

  • 6 weeks in Treasure Cay!

"Wow! What an amazing vacation! The condo was much nicer then we ever expected! Beautifully decorated, very clean, full kitchen and laundry in unit; thoughtful extras available at our arrival; the view from the entire living space and the patio was delightful! - Unobstructed view across the manicured lawn, of the harbor and the marina. The condo included a free boat slip! Lovely grounds - 4 pools!, tennis courts, all included. Easy walk to the magnificent Coco beach. Nice restaurants available, grocery store, bakery, liquor store, - all a short walk. Boat rentals, golf cart rentals all close by. FABULOUS VACATION!"

  • Beautiful Home!!!! Incredible Island!!!! Friendly People!!!

"WOW!!! Although my family and I were very excited to get away over the Winter Holiday Break I had never traveled to the beach during this time. I had also never been away from home over Christmas, but Guana Cay and the Grandview home surpassed every hope we had for our getaway. The people immediately welcomed our family to their little slice of paradise and honestly are the reason the vacation was so great. I have three children and they each found friends almost immediately. My husband and I met couples from around the world and really enjoyed getting to know each of them. Grandview was spacious and had everything we could have needed. The kitchen and upper deck were our favorite spots. The kitchen had plenty of room for cooking with people. The pantry was even stocked with some necessities like condiments, coffee, and some foods!! The upper deck had a great view of the water and the entire island. Our favorite thing to do was escape up there after dark. The stars were unexplainably bright and breathtaking!!!! The island had many fun events going on such as a golf cart parade, a New Years Eve Party and "Nippers Sunday," all were a great time and once again showed the friendly attitude of everyone on the island. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you, Greg, for being so hospitable and keeping your beautiful home in such great condition."
