  • Great Place for Couples or Families

"My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this house in June 2016, and we would ABSOLUTELY go back! The grounds are beautiful and make you feel very secluded. It is in a very quiet section of the island, but it is very close to Hope Town, a convenience store, and several restaurants. You will practically have the beach in front of the house to yourselves, and having "On Da Beach" next door was much more of an amenity than an issue - nice to have good, relatively inexpensive (for the Bahamas) food and drinks right next door, plus they close down around 7 p.m.! You can't beat having breakfast overlooking the ocean and sitting on the back deck at night to see a million stars! The main house is divided into LR/DR/K/MBR in larger unit, with a double bed and single bed plus bath unit across the breezeway. Small cottage on the grounds sleeps at least 2 more. It was just the two of us on this visit, but we could easily see bringing the whole family plus a couple of friends, and everyone would be quite comfortable and have some private space. The owner and property managers were excellent and very responsive. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

  • Expensive but worth it

"This is the nicest house we have ever rented in the Abacos, and we have been renting here for over 20 years. Other than some doors that were hard to lock, everything worked perfectly and well. The house and grounds are designed in such a way that many people can find solitude and peace away from others. The grounds are beautiful with many coconut trees and exotic tropicals. The view is unprecedented and spans almost 270 degrees."

  • hope town fun

"Blue heaven is the best location on the island. Ocean at you doorstep. The harbor and lighthouse directly on the other side. Excellent accommodations. Magnificent view from the upstairs bedroom. Pool well kept and everything you could want is there. Abaco Inn and Captain Jacks excellent dining. Reef bar at Hope Town Harbor Lodge has best conch fritters and daiquiris. Caretaker was always available when needed. Sea Horse boat rentals was perfect so you can island hop. Beautiful water and plenty of deserted beaches. Snorkeling is steps from your own beach. Hardly anyone there."

  • Perfect location for total relaxation

"My husband and I spent a totally relaxing week at Blue Moon Cottage. We have previously stayed in town but loved being on the South End at Blue Moon. Close to Abaco Inn and SeaSpray which we visited at least once daily for dinner (mostly take out) or cocktails. We spent many nights listening to music on the covered porch just soaking in the sights and sounds as the sun went down and loving every minute. Although there are houses close by you still have the feel of being in your own little world. If you can't relax here - You can't relax anywhere. We had frequent visits from a hummingbird, resident cat Phantom as well as some Island dogs coming to check out what we were having for dinner. Having the private dock close by was key to our trip as we had rented a boat from Island Marine and didn't have to deal with worrying about a spot at a public dock."
