Great location & snorkeling!
"We spent a long week at Shore Thing as a group of 4 & then 6 & thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The privacy & seclusion & uncrowded beach...coupled with the fantastic reef nearby made this an excellent vacation. The property is clean & well maintained, the owners are wonderful at communicating & answering all questions, including arranging golf carts & taxi transfers at Marsh Harbor.
The location was great..we felt very safe & it takes 9-10 minutes to get to the grocery store with the golf cart. You could walk to the beach, 2 are nearby & both have good snorkeling, but drifting one beach to the next was the longest snorkel drift.
General info one should know in going to this destination: (because this will likely cause some to not want to go!): water is collected rainwater, so that means navy showers & no dishwasher. The grocery store is not open Sunday & closes each day around 5-6 (varies by day) so if you need to buy water, make sure you arriving before the store closes! (or get it in Marsh) Eating out is about $18 for a burger & fries...that's without cheese or bacon. The grocery store is limited in selection, so think basics & be flexible...when we saw tomatoes looked bad, we used strawberries instead on our salad...the lettuce looked bad so we used cabbage. Prices at the grocery aren't bad on basic needs, but on junky snacks, like chips, you'll find them at least double...a bag of corn chips was $5. Power outages are random in length, time and duration...the first day we had less than 12 hours of power, but no noticeable outages the rest of our stay. (you can't use water when there's an outage) Again, be flexible & willing to cook on the grill/go to the beach when the power is out. We thought this was an acceptable exchange for the seclusion that we had on this trip!"

"I wanted to have an active vacation for our family of 20 and 30-something children. A friend recommended Beach Dream as "the one place she has returned to as a vacation spot." Knowing this friend, that is high praise indeed. We booked Beach Dream and spent, what everyone in the group described as, one of the best vacations ever. We rented a golf cart from Donna's Carts for the destinations further from town, but we could easily walk anywhere else, from the grocery to Grabbers. We ate twice at Kidd's Cove and enjoyed apps at Nippers and Grabbers. The snorkeling off of Grabbers is great for beginners because it is shallow and often calmer than the Atlantic. We rented a boat from Dive Guana and were treated very nicely by Troy and Maria. But Beach Dream itself was the star - it was the hub, the place we all returned to to eat, play games, watch the ocean, drink morning coffee, share stories and make memories. Thank you for creating a home with such a good feeling. I think we left some good ones for the next group!"

"My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. It was comfortable for the 2 of us but would be crowded with 4 adults in the living area of the cottage. The 2 en-suite bedrooms were spacious. The location is ideal and it was nice to watch the action on the Sea of Abaco.
The television is tiny. It would be a big plus if the tv was upgraded to a larger size.
The cottage is well kept and located close to beach access and not far from the

"The entire process was simple and easy, from our initial booking request to our arrival at the Guana Cay dock.
Gina greeted us at the dock with our golf cart (reserved at Donna’s Golf Carts), took us to the grocery and liquor store to stock up on supplies, gave us a brief tour of the area, then off to Dolphin Lookout. As described in previous reviews, the house is very well constructed and meticulously maintained. The views and coastal breezes were tremendous. Access to snorkeling, kayaking and just plain relaxing is all within a few steps of the house. Beautiful beaches are within a few minutes of Dolphin Lookout – might have seen 2- 4 people on the beach during our entire stay, great feeling having a stunning beach all to yourself.
We enjoyed the bars and restaurants, spent quite a bit of time at Nippers, Kidd’s and Grabbers – we really enjoyed wing night (Thursday evening) at Orchid Bay – tasty wings.
It was fun getting to know the locals and fellow island visitors – everyone was very nice.
Can’t wait to come back!"
