"Bella Mare is by far the best VRBO that we have rented! From the breath taking view you see each time you walk through the front door, the friendliness of the Turtle Cay people, you will not be disappointed. My advice is to book Bella Mare, aka, paradise today. Rodney called us the day after we arrived to see if we needed anything. We have never had an owner do that before! Austin Lowe is a phenomenal caretaker. He was at the docks to get our family as they flew in, answered all of our questions, and phone calls! Our family would go back in heartbeat, it was so much fun. On a side note, we flew into Marsh Harbor, the taxi ride to the dock and the ferry ride only take cash. There is no ATM on the Island at this time so make sure you have cash with you. I'm giving this a 5 star rating only because they won't let me go higher Bella Mare was a dream vacation for our family! Enjoy Paradise"

  • Think Perfection Then Multiply By 1000

"Exactly what we wanted, and then some. Green Turtle speaks for itself – so go ahead and read all the other rave reviews and just know they don’t begin to do it justice! Awesome setting, wonderful people, Quintessential Bahamas Out Islands. The key thing about the Cabana, it sets up the whole trip. The place was clean, spacious, and optimally located. We wanted for nothing. Everything in Green Turtle was within our grasp and effortless. You could not make a wrong turn or a bad decision. What a life it was to have a beautiful “base camp” to return to after our daily adventures. Even the afternoon thunderstorms were a joy as we watched them from the wrap around patio. Being able to explore the area then coming back to the Bluff House resort was sweet. Great first trip to Green Turtle. We’d do it all again exactly the same. It had been a few years since we visited the out islands, so returning with our 5 year old boy and reliving it this way was very special and something we actually scrutinized for months. Green Turtle delivered. Just to mention a few, of course Di and Eli were over the top accommodating and helpful, offering inside info and tips, usually unsolicited and always spot on. Carol Jean went beyond the call of duty – she was even kind enough to let us check out a little later which made all the difference as we soaked up our last morning and our boy blew off steam before the hop back over to the Mainland. Donny was the man, squeezing our last minute boat rental request in (and even coming to pick me up) before a doctor appointment. In a world gone mad, this place restores one’s faith in humanity. An extremely relaxing visit, just what we were looking for. The only unfortunate byproduct of this experience, set up as nicely as that as far out as that in a place as pristine as that…it tends to reset one’s standard on accommodations and you never want to settle for less. We’ll accept it for the beautiful thing it is and make the necessary attitude adjustments for the time being, but it won’t be easy. In the meantime we will look forward to returning and would like to thank Di and Eli again guys, from the bottom of our hearts for opening up your home to us for a few great memorable days in paradise! Regards, Becky, Bob, Bode."

  • A Wonderful Place to Stay

"Came to Green Turtle Cay as a group of 3 elders and stayed here at Turtle Dreams. Mary Lowe (Property manager) met us at the Ferry dock and was wonderful in helping us get to the house and introducing us to the home's features. The house is just lovely... roomy and comfortable. We arrived on 12/24/16 and left on 1/3. We rented a golf cart and the drive to the house was an adventure... The roads at the South end of the island are fairly smooth, but the roads at the North end are very rough and bounced us around quite a bit - however, it was worth it. Arriving at the house felt like coming home. During our stay we had weather varying from calm sunny days to stormy high wind days - but the house is tight and the weather was no issue. The A/C and the heat both worked great and there are ceiling fans in every room to help with the humidity. I've gone on several vacations that were meant to be 'relaxing' and 'peaceful' and this was the first one that met that expectation.... plenty of room in the house for each of us to find a quiet place to read or relax. There are two decks - the upstairs one is fully screened and that blocks most of the wind (and it's usually windy) and has two tables and a bunch of very comfortable chairs. It's a great place to sit and read a book or just to look out at the Bay and daydream! The downstairs deck is open and usually I preferred that one, as I like a nice breeze - but it only has one chair (maybe because it's not protected). It's also where you go if you want to 'talk' to the local chickens that hang around. The stairs in the house are easy to negotiate - even for elders (we're 60's to 80). The stairs that lead to the viewing deck are a different matter - they were difficult for my brother and I (60's) and mom didn't even try (80)... they are perfectly safe - but steep and the steps are quite tall, so challenging - however, it's worth the climb because the view is gorgeous - Turn one way and you can see the ocean / sunrise - turn around and you can see the bay / sunset. We explored the island and New Plymouth. We did two excursions with Brendal's Dive Center and highly recommend them - they were the best fun we had on the island. The locals were all very friendly and helpful and we always felt safe. The only real 'downside' to the island was the No-see-ums - which were very bad this time and we all ended up with hundreds of bites and the stores had no Cortisone or Benadryl - so bring your own!!!"
