  • a little piece of paradise

"We've been to the Abacos a number of times, but this was our first time to GTC. We arranged our vacation dates specifically so we could stay here. The view is absolutely amazing and you have a great, quiet beach right there. We rented a boat and went around to a number of the other cays, but would often return back home in the afternoon as nothing really beat our own beach. I can't say enough about the view and the solitude. We visited Lowe Art Gallery just down the road, saw his art, and heard about GTC in earlier days, which was neat. It's only about 7-10 minutes to walk to town, though I don't recommend it when it's hot. The dock is about a 3 minute walk from the house in Black Sound. The wifi worked great. I didn't have a phone, but Tricia was very responsive to email for any questions. The only limits are that the AC is only units in the bedroom. The breeze was great and we didn't miss it during the day, but there was a loud frog, so we wanted to close up at night and the unit struggled to cool the bedroom. I wonder how it would be when it gets hot in the summer months."

  • Fabulous Vacation!

"We stayed at Tween Waters for a week with our family and loved it! The 2-bedroom house is fantastic and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We spent lots of time on the dock and in the boat exploring the Sea of Abaco. Kim and Jimmy were wonderful hosts. They know the area well and were quick to give us info on the best spots to visit. We would definitely stay at Tween Waters again!"

  • Wish I could live here!

"This is a perfect vacation home for a family of any size or description. Our group consisted of 3 couples and a teenage boy. The house is exactly like the pictures, it is new construction, the furnishings were elegant and high quality. The house feels very large, lots of spaces to gather as a family (dining, cooking, playing games, sitting on the porch or by the water) but at the same time, plenty of privacy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and extravagant, GREAT beds, water at your front door, very quiet. Internet was solid, I streamed British mysteries in bed while others watched whatever they wanted. You quickly understand that the owner wants you to have a great holiday so treats her renters the same way she would best friends. We were met at the ferry and taken to the house (about a 4 minute golf cart ride) by lovely knowledge people who were happy to take care of us. They had lots of time to answer questions and make suggestions. The whole Cay feels like a small town. It is easy to make friends and there is lots to do, you become a local the minute you arrive. Good restaurants, groceries, beaches to snorkel. We picked Green Turtle Cay so we could dive with Brendal, he is an experience. The staff at Brendal's Diving Resort, including his wife Mary, are extremely competent and as professional as they are, we had so much fun. They have very reasonable diving packages but the best is Adventure Reef Trip for divers and snorkelers or anyone who likes food. For private pilots it is ideal. We landed at Treasure Cay Airport (TCB), everyone here is very professional. A quick cab ride and a relaxing ferry ride to Green Turtle Cay. I would compare our vacation at Bahama House to a Ritz Carlton Resort visit without the resort. I would like to live on Green Turtle Cay. It is beautiful, prosperous, the house was fantastic and we all had a lot of fun."

  • Perfect home, perfect location!

"We recently traveled to Elbow Cay and had the pleasure of finding the Dreamsicle. Jamie (the caretaker) was right on time to help us settle in. The house was in a perfect location, on the quieter side of the island, and very close to the most beautiful beach (Tahiti beach). I think you definitely need a golf cart due to it's distance from downtown. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay, from beach towels to kitchen utensils. Wifi was reliable. The power did go out a few times one night, but it was out on the whole island and the Dreamsicle usually has a generator for backup (it was being fixed while we were there). Everything was super clean and tidy. We really felt like we were in our own home and can't wait to make a trip back! Cindi was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend a stay at the Dreamsicle!!"
