  • Great place! Would rent again.

"I saw a recent poor review that was posted after I booked but before we departed. In response to that review: 1)We had no issues with the water. 2)I have no idea if the cable worked as I never turned on the TV. 3)I slept in the upstairs bedroom and the bed isn't great and probably should be replaced. That said I slept in the bed every night and I would sleep in it again. 4)The washing machine was quirky but worked fine. Overall the house, in my experience, is fairly typical of rentals available in the area. It could probably use some maintenance here and there but that could be said of a brand new house in a tropical island climate. The location is quiet but not secluded. There is good beach access either in front of the restaurant across the street, on the west end of the island or anywhere in Spanish Wells. This house is a really great place for a group. 6 adults and 4-6 kids could comfortably be accommodated. I will definitely stay here again."

  • Amazing island escape!!!!!!

"We stayed in this wonderful house over Christmas. It is so peaceful and serene. It's in the surfers beach area just south of Gregory Town. We specifically wanted to surf at surfers beach and snorkel at Gaulding Cay. What we didn't know was how many adventures are within 15 minutes! The house could easily sleep way more but we only had our 7 and 10 year old with us though. They both had their own room. It was extremely comfortable with amazing deck space. Our 10 year old sat on the deck to read and I played ukulele out there! It's got a great ocean view from the master bedroom and deck up stairs with a great breeze. We were lucky and had an amazing breeze when visiting. Just in case it got hot, there is great airflow with overhead ceiling fans and A/C!!!! We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves anymore. Full kitchen and great advice from the owner and manager made our visit the trip of a lifetime! We seriously can't wait to go back!"

  • Loved it!!!

"Staying at Roy and Linda's was awesome. Everything about it was perfect. Roy and Linda are great hosts. They'll make your stay at Spanish Wells very memorable. The cottage is a very short walk to the white sand, perfect beach of Spanish Wells. Roy will take care of any questions you have before and during your stay. Linda had a yummy lobster salad prepared for us and homemade jam waiting for us upon arrival. The house is very clean and FULLY equipped with everything you will need. Would love to go back! Thank you for the memorable vacation."

  • Amazing waterfront property! Incredible sunrises and sunsets!

"Thank you so much for sharing your great home with us! Such an incredible view. Uninterrupted blue water as far as you can see. The house was low key and beachy but nicely appointed, with great furniture, comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Our family of 5 was very comfortable. AC worked and was helpful at night! We loved our fishing and snorkeling trip with James. We caught -- and cooked -- Porgy, Margaret, and Trigger fish. And he cut up some conch and we made conch salad from a Bahamian cookbook in the bookshelf! We snorkeled and swam for hours out in the amazing bay right in front of the house. The water is crystal clear. Perfect for kids. What a treat just to go right down the steps! Very quiet undeveloped area-- which we loved. Good information on what to do nearby. We went to the deserted beach by Peachers cave (saw the blue hole but were too scared to jump!) and visited the flats in The Current at the perfect time of day. We also drove down to the Queens Baths. Perfect place to spend a windy day! Thomas's bread and cookies in town were a daily excursion as well as fruit and tomatoes from the stand up the road. Fresh Papaya! Quick things to note: Like many island hones, the water is potable but smells a little like sulfur and is very minerally. We totally didn't mind.. They have bottled drinking and cooking water. The no see ums and mousquitos can be rough, and the screens aren't perfect, but if you wear a little bug spray you are fine. I can't wait to rent again!"
